被嘲笑的夢想的中英文演講稿
大家好！
首先我要非常感謝主持人撒貝寧，感謝欄目組邀請我到中國，也感謝你們邀請我參加今天這個節(jié)目，給大家分享一下我生命當(dāng)中的故事。我想給大家分享的可能不僅僅是關(guān)于籃球，其實可以運用到大家的工作和生活當(dāng)中。無論你從事何種職業(yè)，只要有夢就要專心致志地去追，去尋找你的夢想去追求它。
我在密歇根底特律的平民家庭長大，我的父親是一個言語不多的人，他是個商人，我父親告訴過我很重要的一點，也是我從他身上看到的，父親教會我，每天都要為夢想竭盡全力。那就是每天他起床穿戴衣服之后，他會告訴他自己，無論你是生病了還是你覺得勞累了，但是他總會竭盡全力。
很多人認為我是某天醒來發(fā)現(xiàn)自己突然長到2米05，我可以打進NBA也是很自然的事兒，但沒有人認識到成為NBA球員靠的是恒心和毅力。其實我在整個追夢的過程中都是靠恒心和毅力才使自己最終進入NBA。當(dāng)我12歲的時候我身高是1米8，當(dāng)時就像鉛筆一樣的瘦，沒有一個女孩愿意跟我約會或者跟我接吻，因為她們覺得我長得很好笑。有天我跟小伙伴們聊天，我告訴他們說有一天我會到NBA賽場上去比賽，你們猜他們什么反應(yīng)，他們嘲笑我，他們嘲笑我的夢想。他們告訴我說，肖恩你太瘦了，而且你跑得不快，跳得也不夠高，你絕對不可能到NBA去打球的，你絕對不可能完成你的夢想。作為一個12歲小男孩我聽到這樣的話我覺得很傷心，因為他們不認可我的夢想。那么當(dāng)時我覺得我最看中的是我自己的想法。 每天早上我起來看著鏡子我問我自己：肖恩，你每天都準(zhǔn)備好了嗎？今天你要竭盡全力，去接近夢想，一點也好。
在我晚上睡覺刷牙的時候，我也是看著鏡子問我自己，不要想昨天也不要想明天，只想想今天我是不是離我的夢想，離我的目標(biāo)近了一點點呢？大部分的`時候我都可以說是的。我每一天都在練習(xí)、不斷地練習(xí)，我一點一點地進步，當(dāng)我十四歲的時候，我就已經(jīng)有將近兩米高了。我上高中后漸漸地開始成功，當(dāng)時有一個籃球運動員叫克里斯·韋伯，他當(dāng)時是NBA選秀的第一名，所以在我還是高一的時候，我十四、五歲左右我身邊的人都告訴我說，你永遠沒辦法像克里斯那樣出色，因為克里斯很強壯，而且力氣也很大，但是你跑得不快，彈跳力也不行，你永遠也不可能成為他。但是我小時候，已經(jīng)聽過這種話了，那么我怎么做呢？
我看著鏡子對自己說“你要知道，只有你自己的想法是最重要的”，所以我就不斷地去努力。在我高中畢業(yè)的時候，我要準(zhǔn)備去上大學(xué)了，我已經(jīng)贏了三個全州的冠軍，而且我還是那一年整個全美高中明星隊里面的一員，我是當(dāng)時全國高中生中最棒的籃球運動員。我后來就決定進入到美國一個學(xué)術(shù)與籃球都很出色的大學(xué)，那就是杜克大學(xué)。你們肯定想不到我在申請杜克時，人們對我說的話。他們說：“哦，肖恩，你現(xiàn)在籃球打得很好，但你在大學(xué)的時候，應(yīng)該不會那么出色了，因為你速度比較慢，跳得也不高，而且你也不夠強壯，你的籃球意識也不夠強�！边@些話都是我在十二歲的時候，在十四、五歲的時候也聽過。 那么我怎么做呢，我也是站在鏡子前，我問我自己，你準(zhǔn)備好了嗎？你要去向那些質(zhì)疑你的人證明，證明他們是錯的，所以我就不斷地奮斗。在我四年的大學(xué)結(jié)束以后，我決定加入NBA。我到了NBA的時候，人們的質(zhì)疑又來了，他們說肖恩你大學(xué)的時候是很好的球員，但是你絕對不可能是一個優(yōu)秀的專業(yè)球員，很驚訝吧，很讓人震驚吧。而我是怎么做的呢？我對著鏡子告訴自己說：現(xiàn)在是你繼續(xù)努力的時候了。
那么十二年之后，我站在各位的面前，我已經(jīng)贏得了NBA的兩個總冠軍，而且我在非常棒的兩支球隊里面打過球，而且我讓我的夢想成真了。我覺得我的故事當(dāng)中，最美妙的一部分是告訴大家，并不是我一夜之間醒過來我就到了NBA的賽場，不是這樣的。我這一路上每一小步，直到今天的成功，我被排擠過，有人說我不夠優(yōu)秀，有人說我永遠不會成功，當(dāng)我在籃球方面成功的時候，人們總是希望稱我為籃球明星，但是對于我自己的話除了籃球之外還有很多的東西。
我非常地幸運，我的父母都非常重視對我的教育，但是我有一些朋友和老師，他們會說：“肖恩，你不需要成為一個很好的學(xué)生，只要好好打你的籃球就行了。”我說不“ 不，我不要這樣子，我要成為一個很好的學(xué)生。因為我喜歡學(xué)習(xí)，喜歡看書，我喜歡學(xué)習(xí)新的東西。”在我整個四年的高中時間，我的成績只得到了一個B，其他的都是A。
我還記得，我小的時候還踢過足球，當(dāng)時有很大的一個球場，應(yīng)該是類似錦標(biāo)賽的一個比賽，現(xiàn)在仍然記憶猶新。當(dāng)時我12歲，我非常地緊張，我害怕自己會犯錯誤，但當(dāng)我?guī)蚺軙r總是踢偏，怎么都跑不遠，要知道我面對的是大概六萬的觀眾，我不能面對這樣的場面，我難過地哭了，但至少我努力過、我試過， 雖然我可能失敗了，我從失敗中的收獲，可能比從成功中的收獲更大。
其實我棒球打得也不錯，我爸爸是我的棒球教練，他告訴我說，當(dāng)你是團隊中的一員，無論是棒球隊還是籃球隊或者一個俱樂部或者是家庭，你必須要是一個很好的隊員，要有很好的團隊合作精神。在比賽當(dāng)中你并不需要是跑得最快的，跳得最高的，或者是投得最準(zhǔn)的，才能成為一個好的團隊合作者，你只需要準(zhǔn)時參加每天的練習(xí)。不僅是為了你自己，而是為了你的隊友，對你的家人來說你要為你的父親母親、你的姐妹、你的兄弟，能夠在他們需要的時候，伴隨著他們，你要充滿著熱情和激情去完成這一點。我覺得想獲得成功這是非常重要的，很多人總是想要成為一個閃耀的明星。
他們想成為詹姆斯，想成為科比·布萊恩特，但是我想告訴大家，在一個籃球隊里，在學(xué)校社團里，在你的交響樂團，在一個家庭當(dāng)中，其實沒有所謂的超級明星，每一個人都有自己的角色。在籃球場上對于詹姆斯來講，他要去投最高分的球，得到三十分。他的工作非常重要，同樣重要的是對他來說，有一個隊友可以給他傳球去幫助他去支持他的工作，并不能說這個角色就是次要的。因為對一個獲得冠軍的球隊來說，那個角色至關(guān)緊要。有些人會說尋找一個強壯的綠葉比找到一個超級明星更難，沒有所謂的超級明星，或者說每個人都是超級明星，你要讓你自己變得有價值，讓你成為團隊當(dāng)中有價值的一員，今天之所以在這個地方就是因為我是一個很強大的綠葉。是我隊友的綠葉，是我團隊的綠葉，我組織的綠葉，我時刻準(zhǔn)備著，我相信我自己，即使所有人都懷疑我排擠我，我都會為機會做好準(zhǔn)備，這可能是你一生之中要學(xué)到最重要的一堂課。
