So I got up immediately and put on my new clothes my mother had prepared for me. In the mirror, I saw a flying self, and I smiled at myself.
My mother has prepared breakfast for me. It is 10 dumplings. Mother said, I ate 10 dumplings, I was 10 years old. Tangyuan is sesame filling, fragrant and sweet, I like most. After eating the soup, my mother asked me to call my grandparents. Later, my grandmother also took us to her garden, grandmother's garden is really big! Green vegetables everywhere, we cut a big basket of vegetables and found that there was a sneaky shepherd's purse in the vegetable plot, and my mother said it was the best dumpling. So we started looking for the shepherd's purse and got a bag full, and then we went home.

午休的時(shí)候，我正在津津有味的看書，有位老師走進(jìn)教室說：“請報(bào)上英語班的同學(xué)去報(bào)告廳集合。”哎呀！我都快忘了英語選拔這件事兒了！我那小小的心臟頓時(shí)緊張得像巖漿漫延開來。我和幾個(gè)同學(xué)一起來到了報(bào)告廳，只見兩個(gè)老外在向我們招手哩！接著老外開始和我們挨個(gè)的用英語交流，看著前面同學(xué)有順利過關(guān)的，我也跟著一起開心，而沒有通過的同學(xué)垂頭喪氣，我莫名的心里直打鼓。
終于輪到我了，給我測試的.外國老師是位黑人，很熱情開朗，他用英語簡單的和我對話交流，剛開始我因?yàn)橛行┬【o張，沒聽清老師說的英文意思，沒想到老師竟然用中文告訴我，我馬上流利的回答，接下來我都能非常自然的和外國老師對話交談，我發(fā)現(xiàn)淘汰賽其實(shí)并沒有想像的那么恐怖呀！測試結(jié)束，在焦急的等待中，結(jié)果終于出來了！如我所愿，我真的被選上啦！我好興奮哦！

比賽的那一天，我們來到階梯教室。我心想：我能抽到幾號(hào)？我能否順利地完成課文朗讀呢？最終我抽到了八號(hào)和第四頁的課文，我心里的石頭終于落地了，因?yàn)檫@篇課文我很熟練。
比賽開始了，同學(xué)們按抽簽順序輪流朗讀，我們認(rèn)真地聽著。終于輪到我了，我自信滿滿、大步走上臺(tái)，面帶微笑大聲、準(zhǔn)確無誤地把這篇課文讀了下來。
比賽后我回到了教室。過了不久，楊老師告訴我獲得了一等獎(jiǎng)。耶，太棒了！
