but an awful lot of middle class americans are still not feeling the effects of this recovery. since the year , gross domestic product-our gdp - has risen by 25%. and productivity in america is up by 30%. but middle class wages during that same time period have gone up by only fourteen cents. folks, it's long past time to cut the middle class back into the deal, so they can benefit from the economic growth they helped create. folks, there used to be a bargain in this country supported by democrats6 and republicans, business and labor7. the bargain was simple. if an employee contributed to the growth and profitability of the company, they got to share in the profits and the benefits as well. that's what built the middle class. it's time to restore the bargain, to deal the middle class back in. because, folks, when the middle class does well, everybody does well-the wealthy get wealthier and the poor have a way up. you know, the middle class is not a number. it's a value set. it means being able to own your home; raise your children in a safe neighborhood; send them to a good school where if they do well they can qualify to go to college and if they get accepted you'd be able to find a way to be able to send them to college. and in the meantime, if your parents need help, being able to take care of them, and hope to put aside enough money so that your children will not have to take care of you. that's the american dream. that's what this country was built on. and that's what we'redetermined8 to restore. in order to do that, it's time to have a fair tax structure, one that values paychecks as much as unearned income and inherited wealth, to take some of the burden off of the middle class. it's time to close tax loopholes so we can reduce the deficit9, and invest in rebuilding america - our bridges, our ports, our highways, rails, providing good jobs.
with corporate10 profits at near record highs, we should encourage corporations to invest more in research and development and the salaries of their employees. it's time for us to invest in educational opportunity to guarantee that we have the most highly skilledworkforce11 in the world, for 6 out of every 10 jobs in the near term is going to require some education beyond high school. folks, it's long past due to increase the minimum wage that will lift millions of hardworking families out of poverty target poverty and in the process produce a ripple12 effect that boosts wages for the middle class and spurs economic growth for the united states of america. economists13 acknowledge that if we do these and other things, wages will go up and we'll increase the gross domestic product of the united states.

我的經(jīng)歷具體是這樣的：我是1980年從內(nèi)蒙古考到北大的，比大家高了好多屆。我在北大學(xué)英文，然后又在北大教書。教書六年之后，在1990年，我求學(xué)到美國。我發(fā)現(xiàn)到了，美國一下飛機(jī)，我一句話也聽不懂。當(dāng)時我想，至少我學(xué)了幾年英文，所以打算繼續(xù)學(xué)英文。正在我在考慮到哪里去的時候，我聽到一種說法，叫做everybody in American can speak English。那么我又怎么能夠在美國賺錢呢？所以，我必須改變這個想法。于是我該學(xué)了學(xué)計算機(jī)。計算機(jī)碩士畢業(yè)以后，我在美國的貝爾實(shí)驗(yàn)室做了兩年的軟件工程師。在1995年，“新東方”的創(chuàng)始人俞敏洪來到了美國，在他的建議下，我有回國，開始參加“新東方”的創(chuàng)建。我和俞敏洪在北大是同班同學(xué)——“新東方”的五個“創(chuàng)業(yè)元老”里有三個是北大的同學(xué)。除了我們兩個還有一個是“新東方”的圖書總策劃包凡一老師，他是“新東方”的寫作專家。我在大學(xué)時代是他們的班長，他們兩個當(dāng)時是全班最落后的學(xué)生。我那時的主要精力和時間都花在每天晚上陪他們兩個在湖畔散步，勸

在美國的時候我學(xué)計算機(jī)之前，還有一段小插曲。那就是我險些報考了哈佛的人力學(xué)系。我離開北大之后，吸引我的學(xué)校只有兩所，一所是英國的牛津大學(xué)，就是Oxford University；另一所呢就是Harvard University。那時候，哈佛大學(xué)人力學(xué)系的系主任，對我進(jìn)行了面試之后覺得可以錄取我，并且提出可以給我提供五年的Scholarship。他說：“你只要答應(yīng)我一個條件，”我說：“什么條件？”——這個教授研究的是非常偏的一個科目，所以招生好多年都沒有找到一個合適的學(xué)生。他是在人力學(xué)系研究中國文化中苗族文化的�！f：“只要你跟我學(xué)苗語，我就給你獎學(xué)金�！蔽艺f：“可以�！钡�，我冷靜下來之后想：我拿了這些錢，在五年之內(nèi)，過的是天上人間的日子。就算不能從哈佛大學(xué)畢業(yè)，也能夠肄業(yè)。將來至少能夠跟孫子夸口說，爺爺當(dāng)年進(jìn)過哈佛。但是這還不行，因?yàn)槲夷玫竭@個學(xué)位，最終的目的是要找個飯碗。我就考慮，在北美這樣大片的土地上，有多少地方需要我這樣的人才呢？——苗族文化專家。通過“研究”，我發(fā)現(xiàn)，全北美只有一個地方需要，就是哈佛大學(xué)、人力學(xué)系、這位老師。所以，如果全北美只有一個機(jī)會，他的目標(biāo)里只有我一個人，那么這個機(jī)會對我來說是百分之百的！但是，五年之后，我仍然處于一個非常劣勢的地位。我如果能在哈佛大學(xué)拿到學(xué)位，接下來的夢想就是當(dāng)上哈佛大學(xué)的教授、終身教授。美國大學(xué)關(guān)于終身教授的規(guī)定：只要這個教授不去世，你就別想替代他。我想，萬一我六十歲就“夭折“了，那位教授八十多歲還健在，我也還是助教。想到這兒，我就對那位教授說：“I want to learn something different�！�
當(dāng)時是1990年，計算機(jī)在美國變得popular。而且招生的指標(biāo)還有70個，我覺得這是個attract opportunity，于是決定學(xué)計算機(jī)。如果學(xué)計算機(jī)，我就可以成為一個“計算機(jī)科學(xué)家”，就可以make money。但當(dāng)時，我已經(jīng)十年沒摸過數(shù)學(xué)了，計算機(jī)也從來沒有接觸過。我想，我能不能學(xué)計算機(jī)呢？我用亞里士多德的“三段論”來推導(dǎo)這個問題：計算機(jī)是人發(fā)明的東西，凡是人都應(yīng)該懂人發(fā)明的'東西。最后，如果我學(xué)不了計算機(jī)，我就不是人。得出這個結(jié)論之后，我就要做一些實(shí)際的調(diào)查，看一看計算機(jī)到底是什么。我到了紐約最大的書店，看看計算機(jī)架上到底有些什么書。其中有兩架書，

完成了作為一個計算機(jī)工作者最基本的訓(xùn)練。第三點(diǎn)，我是搞English的，受到的是想象力的訓(xùn)練。想象力，冠以科學(xué)術(shù)語就是抽象能力、能夠把復(fù)雜的東西變成簡單的問題的能力。這三點(diǎn)加起來，我足以和這些學(xué)計算機(jī)的本科學(xué)生抗衡了�！彼f：“very interesting！你可以把你剛才說的東西寫成論文來發(fā)表。”我說：“我今天來的目的不是要寫文章，是要求你錄取我�！彼f：“好！”我就這樣被錄取了。當(dāng)然，此后的學(xué)習(xí)過程是暗無天日的，但我還是堅(jiān)持下來了。我用了半年時間補(bǔ)習(xí)了美國大學(xué)計算機(jī)本科四年的所有主干課程，以全A的成績進(jìn)入了碩士研究生的學(xué)習(xí)。然后用兩年讀完了碩士課程，在畢業(yè)的前夕又非常幸運(yùn)地進(jìn)入了美國最好的計算機(jī)公司——貝爾實(shí)驗(yàn)室。，這時的我沉浸在一個中產(chǎn)階級的生活里，一個科學(xué)工作者成功的興奮里。

when you release your pressure by playing varies of online games, you’d better remember that it is the program that makes you enjoy the great entertainment in life. as people’s thoughts control their bodies, computer programs play a leading role in the modern times. both social progress and human evolution depend on the computer programs. in the practical application, a software consists of different programs and then combines with hardware to develop into a high-tech electronic product. there are many kinds of electronic products found everywhere in our daily life. nearly all the time do we make use of these products to conduct our passion.

Life is a process of growing up. Saying goodbye to childhood, we step into another important time of life in the pace of young, facing new situations, dealing with different problems..... However, who can really say what the youth is ? A period of time? A belief?An attitude to life? Or anything else? actually, everyone has his ownunderstanding of young, it is a period of time of beauty and wonders, only after you have experienced the sour , sweet ,bitter and salty, can you really become a person of significance. Just like A famous poet said ‘ youth is a lovely song ,where nothing is impossible ,youth is a meaningful book, you’ll be never bored of it ;youth is a rapid river ,it keeps on flowing day and night ;youth is a cup of tea ,it shows you different kinds of tastes in your life. As youth is so precious, of course, we must treasure it .Don’t let the limited time pass by, grasping the young will means a better time is waiting for you in the near future. So,It’s necessary for us to prepare ourselves well for the future to come. having a view on those great men in the history of hunman being, they all made full use of their youth time to do things that are useful to society, to the whole mankind, and as a consequence ,they are remembered by later generations, admired by everyone. so do something in the time of young, although you may not get achievements as these greatmen did ,though not for the whole world, just for youeself, for those around! So, what should we do when we are young? Here,I’ll point out some tips to help equip ourselves. First of all,think of what you’d like to be some day. A teacher ? A doctor ? A writer? Don’t afraid of dreaming of big and great .Since you are young , you can dream of doing anything and becoming anyone in the future. What’s more , never ignore the power of knowledge. Read more books and travel around. For one thing, it can increase your knowledge, for another, it’ll broaden your horizon.
Last but not the least , stick to your dream. It easier said than done. After all, future is not all roses. young is just like blooming flowers, they are so beautiful when blooming, which make people feel happy, but with time passing by, after they withers ,most people think they are ugly. and so it is the same with young, we are enthusiastic when we are young, then we may lose our passion when getting older and older. So we should have enough courage and determination to overcome all the difficulties in struggling on the road. I firmly believe one sentence that‘If you think you can, of course you can!’Just believe we can make it! Keep on walking towards our dream. Flying youth , master our future.
