　　My friends, comrades, and fellow South Africans: I greet you all in the name of peace, democracy, and freedom for all. I stand here before you not as a prophet but as a humble servant of you, the people. Your tireless and heroic sacrifices have made it possible for me to be here today. I therefore have placed the remaining years of my life in your , I extend my sincere and warmest gratitude to the millions of my compatriots and those in every corner of the globe who have campaigned tirelessly for my release. I extend special greetings to the people of Cape Town the city through which — which has been my home for three decades.

　　I salute the rank?and?file members of the ANC: You have sacrificed life and limb in the pursuit of the noble cause of our , like Solomon Mahlangu and Ashley Kriel, who have paid the ultimate price for the freedom of all South Africans. I salute the South African Communist Party for its sterling contribution to the struggle for democracy. You have survived 40 years of unrelenting persecution.

　　The memory of great communists like Moses Kotane, Yusuf Dadoo, Bram Fischer, and Moses Mabhida will be cherished for generations to come. I salute General Secretary Joe Slovo, one of our finest patriots. We are heartened by the fact that the alliance between ourselves and the Party remains as strong as it — it always , the National Education Crisis Committee, the South African Youth Congress, the Transvaal and Natal Indian Congresses, and COSATU and the many other formations of the Mass Democratic Movement. I also salute the Black Sash and the National Union of South African Students.

　　We note with pride that you have looked — that you have acted as the conscience of white South Africa. Even during the darkest days in the history of our struggle you held the flag of liberty high. The large?scale mass mobilization of the past few years is one of the key factors which led to the opening of the final chapter of our — Your organized strength is the pride of our movement. You remain the most dependable force in the struggle to end exploitation and oppression.

　　I greet the traditional leaders of our country — many among you continue to walk in the footsteps of great heroes like Hintsa and , you, the young lions. You, the young lions, have energized our entire struggle. I pay tribute to the mothers and wives and sisters of our nation. Without your support our struggle would not have reached this advanced stage. The sacrifice of the frontline states will be remembered by South Africans , black and white, recognize that apartheid has no future. It has to be ended by our own decisive mass action in order to build peace and security.

　　The mass campaigns of defiance and other actions of our organizations and people can onlyculminate in the establishment of continent is in calculable. The fabric of family life of millions of my people has been shattered. Millions are homeless and unemployed. Our economy — Our economy lies in ruins and our people are embroiled in political strife. Our resort to the armed struggle in 1960 with the formation of the military wing of the ANC, Umkhonto we Sizwe, was a purely defensive action against the violence of apartheid. The factors which necessitated the armed struggle still exist today. We have no option but to continue. We express the hope that a climate conducive to a negotiated settlement will be created soon so that there may no longer be the need for the armed , strategies, and , I feel duty?bound to make the point that a leader of the movement is a person who has been democratically elected at a national conference.

　　This is a principle which must be upheld without any , I wish to report to you that my talks with the government have been aimed at normalizing the political situation in the country. We have not as yet begun discussing the basic demands of the struggle. I wish to stress that I myself have at no time entered into negotiations about the future of our country except to insist on a meeting between the ANC and the has gone further than any other Nationalist President in taking real steps to normalize the situation. However, there are further steps, as outlined in the Harare Declaration, that have to be met before negotiations on the basic demands of our people can begin.

　　Negotiations cannot take place — Negotiations cannot take place above the heads or behind the backs of our people. It is our belief that the future of our country can only be determined by a body which is democratically elected on a non?racial basis. Negotiations on the dismantling of apartheid will have to address the overwhelming demands of our people for a democratic, non?racial and unitary South Africa. And this reality is that we are still suffering under the policies of the Nationalist , so that the process towards democracy is rapid and uninterrupted. We have waited too long for our freedom. We can no longer wait.

　　Now is the time to intensify the struggle on all fronts. To relax our efforts now would be a mistake which generations to come will not be able to role in a united democratic and non?racial South Africa is the only way to peace and racial harmony. In conclusion, I wish to quote my own words during my trial in 19xx. They are as true today as they were then. I spoke: I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and — and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.

　　Different people have different ideas about success; cause people's hopes and ideas vary from one another. But I am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. These are the best treasures. So now I am very proud that I have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. It is my success, cause I raise up to challenge my hope.

　　大家下午好!

　　你們的孩子來到這里已經(jīng)半學(xué)期了。今天，我們在這里相聚，目標只有一個，那就是為了孩子們能更好地成長和學(xué)習(xí)上能取得更大的進步。我先作個自我介紹：我叫黃燕燕，是本班的英語教師。

　　我的發(fā)言分四個部分:匯報班級情況，交流三個問題，幾點溫馨提示。

　　一、首先,跟大家匯報一下班級學(xué)生現(xiàn)狀

　　1.班級學(xué)生現(xiàn)狀

　　我們班總共 名學(xué)生，上周我校進行了半期考試。我把半期英語考試的情況簡單向各位家長作個匯報。平均分 分，優(yōu)生 人，優(yōu)生率 %。排名前十名的有 ;與九月份第一次月考相比，進步較大的學(xué)生有 。通過高中半期的學(xué)習(xí)，大多數(shù)學(xué)生都具有良好的英語學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣。學(xué)習(xí)積極性較高，能夠自覺完成老師布臵的作業(yè)，深知英語學(xué)科在整個高中課程的重要性。

　　2.存在問題:

　　1)早讀課容易瞌睡，每天晚上加夜班的同學(xué)比較多，導(dǎo)致早上精神狀態(tài)不好。

　　2)部分學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)方式仍然停留在初中甚至小學(xué)階段，從不自覺主動地去學(xué)習(xí)(從他們對作業(yè)的認識和處理方式上就可以看出來)

　　3)部分學(xué)生抄襲作業(yè)，少數(shù)學(xué)生作業(yè)拖拉甚至不交作業(yè)

　　3、分析期中考試成績

　　二、其次，想跟大家交流四個問題

　　1.首先和大家交流一個問題：孩子上了高中以后，總有一部分家長很納悶：我家的孩子在小學(xué)能考到八九十分，初中也能考到七八十分，為什么到了高中，成績不令人滿意，甚至有些失望呢?

　　這個問題的答案首先與各個學(xué)習(xí)階段的特點有關(guān)：小學(xué)階段以賞識教育為主，要在很小的時候培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的自信心，試卷內(nèi)容大多與課本有關(guān)，因此考試分數(shù)自然會很高。初中則是以普及教育為主，考試會照顧到大部分學(xué)生，因此分數(shù)也較高。但是，高中教育，特別是在以高考為最終目標的大背景下，就是以選拔為目的了，所以，考試難度與深度會有很大的提升，得分率自然就會下降，孩子們的考試分數(shù)自然會低一些。所以拿初中甚至小學(xué)的分數(shù)來衡量孩子們高中的學(xué)習(xí)，是不科學(xué)的。

　　其次，與學(xué)生自身的學(xué)習(xí)方式和學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣有關(guān)：高中階段學(xué)習(xí)科目多而且難，要求學(xué)生必須學(xué)會自主學(xué)習(xí)(自覺主動地去學(xué)習(xí))，即變“要我學(xué)”為“我要學(xué)”，再也不能像初中甚至小學(xué)那樣靠老師和家長盯著學(xué)，那樣成績自然會下降。

　　2.第二個問題，為什么同一個班級的孩子三年后成績差別那么大?成績進步大的一定是那些學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣和個性好的孩子。孩子為什么會這樣，其實因素很多，這不僅僅與學(xué)習(xí)基礎(chǔ)有關(guān)，最主要的是與孩子的心態(tài)、學(xué)習(xí)方式及學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣密切相關(guān)。學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)方式及習(xí)慣是極其重要的，直接影響和決定學(xué)生的成績。不要到高三時才感慨，現(xiàn)在我們不是不想學(xué)，而是在高一、高二時沒有養(yǎng)成良好的學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣，沒能改變自己的學(xué)習(xí)方式以適應(yīng)高中的學(xué)習(xí)，現(xiàn)在只能是心有余而力不足。因此，現(xiàn)在必須努力學(xué)習(xí)。

　　在此，我希望家長們要時時關(guān)注孩子的學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣和個性，也就是情商問題。大量的實例證明了一個人的成功主要取決于情商，其次才是智商，兩者的比例大概是7:3。既然知道英語學(xué)科舉足輕重，就必須愛英語，以十足的干勁學(xué)好英語。

　　3.第二個問題，請家長們正確看待孩子在班級的考試名次，當孩子名次退步時，原因是多方面的，首先幫助他樹立信心，然后一起幫助分析原因，而不要盲目地批評甚至打罵孩子�！巴�子成龍，望女成鳳”是我們共同的心愿，但在高一更應(yīng)注重孩子學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣的培養(yǎng)、學(xué)習(xí)方式的轉(zhuǎn)變，讓孩子快樂的成長進步，嚴格遵循教育教學(xué)規(guī)律。

　　4.有些孩子還沒有適應(yīng)高中的學(xué)習(xí)，還不知道高中階段怎么學(xué)，希望家長們高度關(guān)注。高中學(xué)習(xí)科目多而難，時間緊，主要靠學(xué)生自主和自覺地學(xué)習(xí)，老師主要是引導(dǎo)和輔導(dǎo)、檢查和督促，而不像初中那樣盯著你學(xué)習(xí)。說明學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)目的、學(xué)習(xí)興趣上還需培養(yǎng)。

　　訂正的習(xí)慣，督促學(xué)生建立錯題集，當堂發(fā)現(xiàn)的問題，當堂訂正，不拖拉，不滯留，將問題解決在發(fā)現(xiàn)之處，從而保證知識點的連接，為建立學(xué)科知識體系做保障。這些習(xí)慣，會讓學(xué)生真正的樂學(xué)、好學(xué)，在成功中追求快樂，在快樂中追求成功!

　　三、我想對在座的各位家長提出幾點溫馨提示。

　　1、溫馨提示1

　　(1)幫助孩子確定適當目標

　　和孩子一起確定一個他能夠達到的目標——家長適度的期望值。

　　孩子是家長的希望，教育好孩子是老師的希望。父母對孩子期望值的高低直接影響孩子將來所取得成就的大小。期望值一定要有，而且要恰到好處。

　　期望值過高：孩子拼命按家長的意愿生活、學(xué)習(xí)，也許父母感到滿足，但孩子生活得較為壓抑，甚至影響心理健康。盡力后仍達不到家長的要求，雙方均失望，可能導(dǎo)致孩子自暴自棄;

　　期望值過低或沒有：家長對尚不自覺的孩子期望值過低或沒有，孩子會缺少外在精神支持，認為不重視、無所謂。

　　適度的期望值：在原有基礎(chǔ)上適當拔高，不操之過急，不高不攀，否則可能大家都失望。

　　(2)幫助孩子增強自信心

　　(3)關(guān)注孩子成績的變化(即名次的升降)而不是絕對名次

　　(4)溝通---多傾聽孩子的訴說

　　我們學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語的機會應(yīng)該說非常有限的和非常之少的，一方面孩子們有許多功課要學(xué)，另一方面許多學(xué)生英語課堂效率低下。下面我就以下5點談?wù)剬W(xué)習(xí)英語要注意的方面。

　　1.英語課堂學(xué)習(xí)應(yīng)該注重課堂學(xué)習(xí)效果，45分鐘非常寶貴且有限，我們力爭要在這短短的時間內(nèi)掌握所有的英語知識。英語當天學(xué)習(xí)的內(nèi)容應(yīng)該當天消化，如果不能及時消化就會積食，造成聽課越聽越不懂，形成惡性循環(huán)!英語學(xué)習(xí)重在平時，每天做好預(yù)習(xí)與復(fù)習(xí)工作。想要靠臨時突擊，臨時抱佛腳的做法不可取也不可行。

　　我確信：英語要學(xué)好和智商無關(guān)，學(xué)不好英語的人都是懶惰的人。所以，在課后一定要主動抽時間為自己補習(xí)英語。學(xué)好英語，不外乎就是在聽，說，讀，寫這些方面下功夫。

　　2.作業(yè)一定要按時獨立完成，不要成為學(xué)習(xí)上的“寄生蟲”。作業(yè)是老師檢查了解學(xué)生知識掌握情況的.一個有效途徑，要求同學(xué)們能如實客觀地對待作業(yè)。知之為知之，不知為不知，寧愿獨立完成的空幾題的作業(yè)，也比完全不經(jīng)過自己大腦思考抄襲來的作業(yè)質(zhì)量高得多。許多同學(xué)自覺性差，平時空空兩手回家，早上早早趕來抄，每天我都布置了一定的英語作業(yè)，因此請各位家長能關(guān)注一下你的子女有沒有將作業(yè)帶回家來做，并督促子女認真復(fù)習(xí)。

　　3.學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣是第一生產(chǎn)力。許多同學(xué)英語學(xué)習(xí)好，并不是他(她)比別人聰明，而是學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣比較好。良好的學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣可以大大提高你的學(xué)習(xí)效果，我們班的劉里杰，姜艷芳，李輝龍，李柯歐等同學(xué)，她們學(xué)習(xí)態(tài)度端正，上課認真，書寫工整，正因為如此，無論什么考試都能取得很好的成績，這與她平時良好的學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣是分不開的!而有些同學(xué)你看似認真，卻是身在心不在，學(xué)習(xí)重在表象，完全不扎實，綜合素質(zhì)卻沒有真正提高。課外也不下功夫，一堂課幾個單詞，一兩個重點句型下節(jié)課過來提問一問三不知，又何談?wù)n外擴展與素質(zhì)提升?這樣的現(xiàn)象很普遍，說到底，還是好的習(xí)慣沒有養(yǎng)成，不夠勤奮。另外還有幾個同學(xué)，他們的潛力很大，但因為還不夠認真刻苦，所以沒有發(fā)揮出自己最好的水平，希望家長能夠配合老師，把孩子的成績抓上去。我堅信：如果您的孩子在您的支持和我的指導(dǎo)下能夠及時完成老師布置的任務(wù)，那么一定能學(xué)好。要教導(dǎo)您的孩子一開始就要有吃苦耐勞的精神。堅持嚴謹?shù)膶W(xué)習(xí)作風，成績馬上就會見效。

　　4.英語學(xué)習(xí)貴在堅持!就好像跑步運動，英語學(xué)習(xí)之初大家都從同一個起跑線出發(fā)，但隨著難度加深與詞匯量加大，一些同學(xué)慢慢對英語失去新鮮感續(xù)而厭煩最后掉隊。希望我們家長對子女多一份關(guān)愛，督促子女奮發(fā)圖強，初一大有提高的余地!英語偏科是歷史原因造成的，但并不是不可根治的，想要證明自己真正有實力那就從偏科的英語入手，重點突破!
