Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. I don‟t know who wrote these words, but I‟ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.
We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. To answer it, first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life, it‟s a state of mind. It‟s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It‟s the matter of the will. It‟s the freshness of the deep spring of life.
Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .

有人說(shuō)：“我們正在讀一本書的第一章的第一節(jié)，這本書的頁(yè)數(shù)是無(wú)限的”。我不知道誰(shuí)寫的這些話，但我一直喜歡他們提醒我們，未來(lái)可以是任何我們希望它是。我們都處于農(nóng)民的地位。如果我們種下好種子，就會(huì)收獲好收成。如果我們什么也不種，我們就什么也得不到。
我們年輕。“怎樣度過(guò)青春?”“這是一個(gè)有意義的問(wèn)題。要回答這個(gè)問(wèn)題，首先我要問(wèn)“你用青春這個(gè)詞理解什么?”青春不是生命的一段時(shí)光，而是一種精神狀態(tài)。青春不是桃面、丹唇、柔膝。這是意志的問(wèn)題。這是生命深處的清新。
青春意味著氣質(zhì)上的勇氣多于怯懦的欲望，冒險(xiǎn)勝過(guò)安逸的愛(ài)。一個(gè)60歲的男人比一個(gè)20歲的男孩多。沒(méi)有人僅僅因?yàn)闅q月而變老。不思進(jìn)取。歲月悠悠，衰微只及肌膚，熱忱拋卻，頹廢必致靈魂。擔(dān)憂、恐懼、缺乏自信會(huì)扭曲人的心靈，并使青春化為塵土。
