　　Stepping into the new century environment pollution has become more serious than ever since. There are different kinds of pollution. Such as water pollution air pollution and noise pollution and so on. It seems that we live on a planet which is full of pollution. where all these pollution comes from? To a large extend the environmental destruction is the heavy price that we pay for the rapid development of economy and the growing population. In order to have more fuel people cut down trees and dig more corals. But the growing needs for energy are hardly to meet. Countless private cars on the street the gas stations are short of gasoline even the government has raise the price so many times in order to control the needs of gasoline but it’s still not working. Overusing the natural resources has already affected the ecological balance. However the factories still release the toxic air into the sky and the polluted water into the rivers. People still lack of the conscious of protecting the environment. I think it’s time for all of us to do something.

　　進入新世界以來，環(huán)境污染比任何時候都要嚴峻。有各式各樣的污染：水污染，空氣污染，噪音污染等等。看起來我們活著一個四周都是污染源的星球。那么，這些污染是從何而來的呢?在很大程度上，環(huán)境被破壞就是我們?yōu)榭焖俚?經(jīng)濟增長和人口增加所付出的慘烈代價。為了得到更多的能源，人們砍伐樹木，挖更多的煤礦，但是還是難以維持日益增長的需求。不計其數(shù)的私家車充斥著公路，加油站的汽油嚴重短缺，政府多次上調(diào)油價也未能阻止私家車對汽油的需求。自然資源的過度利用已經(jīng)影響到了生態(tài)平衡。然而，工廠依舊向外排放有毒氣體，把工業(yè)廢水倒入河里。人們依舊缺乏保護環(huán)境的意識。我認為人們應(yīng)該做些事情了。

　　The government should put forward some more strict laws to prevent the environment from being further polluted. And they should let people know more about the importance of environment protection. And we should find the balance between the economic growth and environmental protection. Plant more trees in the deserts and stop cutting down the forest. Forbid the factories to pour the waste water into the rivers directly. Encourage people to use public transportations to work. Both government and ordinary people should join hands together to make our home clean and fresh again. Only in this way our earth could be a better place to live in.

　　下午好!我的演講題目是沙塵暴。

　　沙塵暴是我國北方地區(qū)春季日益頻繁發(fā)生的一種惡劣天氣。雖然我才13歲，但也經(jīng)歷過多次了。

　　我想大家對上月發(fā)生的沙塵暴記憶猶新，它席卷了11個省，給我國造成了很大的'損失。

　　正如您從電視上看到的，沙塵暴所到之處，狂風卷著黃沙和塵土肆劣橫行，有時候一些大樹都被從中間吹倒了。鳥兒失去他們的家園，孩子們也找不到回家的路，就像到了世界末日。

　　當沙塵暴發(fā)生時，我們的教室也充滿了沙塵�？蓱z的老師，盡管已飽受粉筆灰之苦，現(xiàn)在又不得不待在灰塵中�？蓱z的同學們，他們告訴我簡直都要窒息了!

　　我們熱愛美麗的春天，我們珍愛明媚的陽光。但是沙塵暴給這些蒙上了陰影，我們知道，沙塵暴是大自然母親對我們破壞生態(tài)劣行的懲罰。要重新看到蔚藍的天空和明媚的春光，我們必須綠化山川，保護環(huán)境。如果我們現(xiàn)在就開始，還不晚。

The economy develops at the cost of polluting the environment we can see the pollution everywhere like the river water is dirty the situation is so serious that we must take some action to control the environmental pollution. First we should not throw away the rubbish whenever we have rubbish at hand we should keep the habit to throw it into the dustbin sometimes the garbage can be recycled. Second the government should make some measure to punish the industry which is not deal with the pollution well. With the government’s intervention the businessmen will pay special attention to the pollution and dare not to ignore it. Protecting the environment needs everyone’s effort to ourselves and our offspring’s health we must take action to protect the environment.

　　今天，隨著科技的發(fā)展，人們比之前生活得更好，平均工資也大幅度提升。經(jīng)濟的發(fā)展卻是以污染環(huán)境為代價，我們隨處可見污染，比如河水很臟，這樣的情形是如此的嚴重，我們必須采取措施來控制環(huán)境的'污染。第一，我們不應(yīng)該亂扔垃圾，無論何時我們手中有垃圾，應(yīng)該養(yǎng)成扔進垃圾箱的習慣，有時候垃圾是可以循環(huán)利用的。第二，政府應(yīng)該采取一些措施來懲罰那么不處理好污染的產(chǎn)業(yè)。有了政府的干預(yù)，商家就會格外注意污染，不敢忽視。保護環(huán)境需要每個人的努力，為了我們和后代的健康，我們必須采取措施來保護環(huán)境。

　　People are alarmed by the succession of campus fires in recent years. In each of these accidents heavy casualties were reported – houses were burned down students lost their lives and properties were damaged. Faced with such a chilling fact people keep asking "What on earth results in these repeated tragedies?"

　　近年來，人們對連續(xù)的校園火災(zāi)感到震驚。每一個事故中都有嚴重傷亡報道，房屋被燒毀，學生失去生命，財產(chǎn)受到損失。面對這樣一個令人毛骨悚然的事實，人們不禁反問，"究竟是什么導(dǎo)致這些悲劇反復(fù)發(fā)生?"

　　A brief survey of them reveals that human factors still prove to be the leading causes. For example three of these fires were caused by the students’ use of electric water-heaters. As students often leave the heaters unattended the risks are rather high should the water in the bottle boil dry while no one is around to turn off the power. In other cases fires were also caused by stoves candles cigarette butts etc.

　　Since most of these disasters could have been prevented if proper precautions had been taken students should be better educated on the importance and measures of fire control. The following three reminders are of particular importance for us students: First learn how to use a fire extinguisher. Second double-check candles heaters stoves and other electric appliances and make sure there are no open flames before leaving rooms. Lastly do not smoke in the dorm.

　　因為如果能夠采取適當?shù)念A(yù)防措施，大部分的'這些災(zāi)難本可以避免的，所以學生應(yīng)該更好地被教育控制火災(zāi)的重要性以及措施。以下三個警告對我們學生尤其重要：第一，學會如何使用滅火器。第二，仔細檢查蠟燭，熱水器，爐具及其他電器，并確保在離開房間之前沒有明火。最后，不要在寢室內(nèi)吸煙。
