春節(jié)是我國的傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日,人們把春節(jié)叫做過年。在我的家鄉(xiāng)潮州,過年就有一些特別的風(fēng)俗。
在除夕之前,人們都要忙著四件事:謝神、備料做粿、掃舍和買年貨。潮俗,每年冬至過后,家里要謝神。備料做“紅桃發(fā)粿”。是將大米和糯米分別浸于水中幾小時(shí),使米質(zhì)松疏,撈干后于石臼中打成細(xì)粉,曬干。這就是做“紅桃法粿”的主料。掃舍要選擇吉日,是一件不尋常的事。是日,各家主婦最忙,把屋子的里里外外打掃干凈,對一些長年少用之物都要清洗。
十二月二十四日,就是傳說中的“神上天”之期。是日,家家戶戶都要拜“糖桃”。一方紅紙,上面用軟糖擺成一粒桃子的形態(tài),成為“糖桃”。此物沾住“杜王爺”的嘴,讓其“上天說好話,落地保平安”。過年還要拜“老爺”,也就是祭神。祭神的祭品有三樣:“紅桃發(fā)粿”、“鼠殼粿”、“菜頭粿”。“紅桃發(fā)粿”就是用綠豆去殼,然后把豆磨成粉,接著蒸熟,做粿餡料。“菜頭粿”就是蘿卜糕。
過年祭祖,要到除夕日下午。過年,家里已成年有收入的小輩,要給長輩送“壓歲錢”,長輩也要對未成年的小輩給“壓歲錢”,戶戶如此,體現(xiàn)了尊老惜幼的美德。
在正月里,潮汕地區(qū)都游神祈福的活動(dòng),就是把廟里面的神座抬到大街上游行,人們要放鞭炮、燒香、接福。這就是潮州春節(jié)的習(xí)俗。
