Use basins when washing faces or vegetables. Thus the water can be used again to clean toilets or water flowers. Thirdly, it will be good enough to use a basket instead of plastic bags when you go to the market. As we know, a basket can be used many more times.

At the first glance, it is very strange to us how can people sell water along the river, but this is the case, because the water in this river is undrinkable. This presents a serious social problem--environmental pollution. With the development of economy, our living standards have been greatly improved. But we can‘ t ignore the fact the air we take in and the water we drink today are not as fresh and clean as they used to be. Some kinds of pollution can even be deadly to people. It is high time that we took some measures to solve the problem.
I think we can first call people‘s attention to this problem so that they will be aware of the serious consequences of it. Then,we can pass certain laws to restrain the factories from sending out wastes. Finally, we can do more resarch work to find out ways to deal with the wastes.

Though the environment doesn’t have a mouth to deprecate what humans have done to her, she retaliates through action. In the early years the Chinese cut down large quantities of trees, at the source of the yellow river, which led to the disappearance of big forests and terrible floods.
As a result，the Huangtu plateau which was once covered with grass and forests was turned into barrens that supported fewer plants. Another example was in several developed countries. Because many chemical factories discharged poisonous gas without filtering it, cities were covered with so much poisonous gas that people were killed by the air they breathed in. What horrible scene! What we are suffering is only a small part of what the nature once suffered. If we don’t take action to show respect to the environment, we will have to face an increasingly awful situation. Measures should be taken to protect the environment on which we are relying.
First governments should forbid destroying vegetation, rivers and lakes, oceans, as and the atmosphere as well. Second voices should be made to announce the public of the importance of protecting the environment. Third enterprises should pay special attention to the effect they have on the environment and work out solutions for the problems. One of the difficulities to an international resolution to environmental issues is the difference in individual nations view and policies toward environmental protection。 In order for international cooperation to occur and succeed， the nations of the world must submit themselved to international standards and supervision by an international mission elected by the participating nations of the world。 All members must agree to abide by the standards established。
The environmental issues facing each country are not unrelated to the well being of the rest of the world。 The impact is long term and international in scope。 Without international cooperation and agreement to address such environmental issues as glacial melting at the South Pole， depletion of the ozone layer， water pollution， air polution， etc。， the environmental conditions of the world will deteriorate to the detriment of every nation， not just those that ignore or lack the resources and technology to resolve their individual environmental problems。
As part of the same planet， it is the responsibility of each individual and nation to protect the global environment。 Only international cooperation will provide the timely solutions and the effectiveness needed to stop the deteriorating global environment。
