　　This phenomenon can easily be found anywhere in our daily life. Many people are used to doing everything with the television on, not actually watching it at all. Such a habit can cause waste of much electricity and energy, and result in the emission of carbon. This deviates from the popular concept of “l(fā)ow carbon life” — to reduce the emission of carbon, especially carbon dioxide, to protect our environment and realize sustainable development. According to statistics, if we can decrease the time for having the television on by one hour each day, we can deduce the amount of carbon emission by 4. 71 kilogram each month。

　　To serve as responsible stewards of the planet, we must promote and popularize a low carbon life among the public from every detail in our daily life. Others are due to the poor quality of home electrical appliances. By the way, some people don't know how to use them properly. Besides,there are quite a few businesses which focus so much of their attention on profits that they tend to neglect and even ignore fire precautions.

　　In my opinion, in order to prevent fires we should first of all foster people's sense of fire prevention. The second thing we have to do is to increase the number of professional fire fighters, to whom regular training courses should be offered. Finally, we are to improve the existing fire engines and add more fire facilities to high-rise buildings. In this way, a reliable fire prevention system will be formed.
