我三歲大的弟弟被叫了好幾遍去上床睡覺。最后一次我媽媽用很堅(jiān)決的語氣對他說時(shí)，他回答道：“是的，先生！”因?yàn)樗诤臀覌寢屨f話，我們都沒有想到他稱呼我媽媽為先生。
“you would say, ‘yes,sir!’ to a man. i’m a lady, and you would say ‘yes,ma’am,’ to a lady,” mom said. to quiz him on his lesson, she then asked him, “what would you say to daddy?”
“對男士可以說‘是的，先生’。我是女士，對女士你要說，‘是的，女士’”，媽媽說道。為了測一測他，她接著問他：“你對爸爸說什么？”
“yes,sir!” came the reply.

The urban traffic is getting increasingly crowded nowadays in China. The roads are pakced with cars, bicylces and pedestrians and traffic jams, bus delays and traffic accidents are a common scene.
Then how to solve this problem? Some suggest to lay down more roads to make the traffic less crowded and speed up the flow of traffic. Others believe that we should open up more public bus routes, so that more people will take the public buses instead of travelling by cars and bicycles.
Though above two views sound reasonable, they have their own drawbacks. The fomer may take up much land which could be used for farms and houses. The latter may cause inconvenience for those who are used to travelling by car or bicycles. I think the best answer to the traffic problem is a combination of the two. More roads can be built to hold more traffic and meanwhile more public bus routes can be opened up to those who prefer to use the public transportation.

However, others maintain that fast food is usually low in nutrition and can’t be regarded as a balanced diet. For example, doctors suggest that people, especially children, eat fast food as little as possible. Besides, although cooking at home is time-consuming and the following washing-up tiresome, it offers healthy and delicious meals your body needs and likes.
As far as I’m concerned, fast food is not my best choice. For one thing, I prefer traditional spicy Chinese food. For another, being engaged in the work all day, I may spend one or two hours to prepare my favorite dishes to ensure myself a nice rest. As a result, fast food is only a good choice when I am in a hurry and resort to it once in a while.

To understand the significance of this prediction, let us compare the human brain with existing computers. The brain consumes electrical energy at the rate of 25 watts and occupies volume of one tenth of a cubic foot. The brain houses between 10 billion and 100 billion items of information. Every brain cell is directly connected to many other cells. As a result, the cells in which information is stored can communicate with thousands of other cells. In contrast, the computer consumes 1,000,000 watts of electrical power and occupies hundreds of cubic feet of space. The computer memory is like a cell of pigeonholes, with no thinking capacity and no connections elsewhere.
In a word, the electronic brains can hopelessly succeed in comparison with the human brains.
