對于語法，中國人一直特別重視，甚至把它和背單詞一樣，作為英語學(xué)得好不好的標(biāo)志。也因此，很多人認(rèn)為，英語就是要靠背單詞記語法才能學(xué)好的。而事實上以英語為母語的孩子是不學(xué)語法的。ESL（英語作為第二語言）的學(xué)生學(xué)語法，正常課程里面是不講語法的。那外國的小孩是怎么學(xué)語言的呢？英語不教語法也能學(xué)好的嗎？
英語啟蒙從phonics開始，此書揭開了自然拼讀法的神秘面紗。在類似搭積木、組合替換的游戲中輕松地讀出、聽清、記憶英語單詞和句子，進(jìn)而全面提升英語聽說讀寫能力，這就是phonics的意義所在，即我們時常說的“見詞能拼。聽音能寫”！關(guān)于Phonics其實在日常的教學(xué)中早就有滲入了，不過從來沒有接觸過一套理論專門解析我的這一教學(xué)行為罷了。很偶然的得到了這么一本書頓時覺得茅塞頓開，受益匪淺。在書上圈圈點點成了習(xí)慣，讀后做個整理小結(jié)也是自己的一個小習(xí)慣。
英語教學(xué)中，常常會發(fā)現(xiàn)學(xué)生們是各種聽不清，記不住，讀不對。學(xué)生們筋疲力盡，老師們也在絞盡腦汁。Phonics能夠幫孩子的耳朵辨別音節(jié)和韻律；能夠幫孩子搭建起詞音和詞形的聯(lián)系。；Phonics還能幫孩子體驗字母與字母組合的發(fā)音規(guī)律。
咱們在中文環(huán)境下學(xué)英語跟本書的作者女兒在國外學(xué)英語那又是兩種情況�！鞍材荨笔潜緯髡叩呐畠�，她正在加拿大讀幼兒園。通過觀察安妮在國內(nèi)外英語啟蒙的經(jīng)歷，編寫了這一本書。
咱們中國的英語教育出品的'多是“啞巴英語”，而造成啞巴英語的原因，絕不僅僅是“輸出環(huán)節(jié)”的問題，造成啞巴英語真正的原因在于輸入環(huán)節(jié)中原汁原味的英語聽力輸入量不夠，中英互譯的思維模式以及死背單詞語法所造成的情境對應(yīng)能力的不足。
雖然平時教學(xué)中我常常我說某某兩個字母組合發(fā)什么的音，但就是還沒有一套理論支持，也沒有一些專用的術(shù)語。通過閱讀這本書，現(xiàn)在有了。英文字母有兩個屬性。一個是LetterName（字母本身的名字），一個是LetterSound（字母的發(fā)音）。而后者是學(xué)前班一年的啟蒙學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容。音和字母的對應(yīng)，音和單詞的對應(yīng)，音和實物的對應(yīng)，都靠音來連接。音才是英語啟蒙的重點。
外國的語言教育，真的是更注重“語言”兩字。而我們，當(dāng)然本人觀點不能代表廣大的教育工作者，還是暫且說自己個兒吧。我的日常教學(xué)更偏向“工具性”，朝著考試目標(biāo)而定的“訓(xùn)練”。想來真是個落后分子了，這以后一定得洗心革面，跟國際接軌。
背誦，這是大部分中國學(xué)生的拿手絕活。但是，為什么背下來的巨型為啥不管用呢？死背單詞和句型就好比學(xué)游泳的人在陸地上做模擬動作，不下水永遠(yuǎn)學(xué)不會游泳的道理一樣。單詞也好，句型也好，都要在情境中才能學(xué)會運用。背下來100個句型不如通過動畫片和閱讀積累100個情境管用。這一片斷深得我心啊，舉雙手支持。
就是承認(rèn)學(xué)英語，聽原汁原味的歌曲，看美劇等都是在磨耳朵。()磨耳朵的關(guān)鍵不在于聽懂每一個單詞，而在于熟悉英語的韻律節(jié)奏，培養(yǎng)語感。這使我突然想起中央臺的一套動畫片，可以布置給孩子們當(dāng)特別的作業(yè)就是“觀看英語動畫節(jié)目”。
中國孩子從小就開始聽各種中文兒歌童謠，英語國家的孩子也是如此訓(xùn)練語感的。我們的英語啟蒙完全應(yīng)該走同樣的路，首先得讓孩子大腦中儲存足夠多的語音信號，他們才能區(qū)分各種信號的不同，所謂的辨音能力就是這樣形成的。
聽力辨音能力和情境對應(yīng)能力是輸出的基礎(chǔ)。輸出是輸入積累到一定程度的結(jié)果，是水到渠成的事。輸入一點點就開始關(guān)注輸出，極有可能引發(fā)孩子的逆反和厭學(xué)。只要輸入的資源正確、方法科學(xué)、時間足夠。剩下的就只有等待。

Since then, the country has more than quadrupled in size: it now consists of 50 states and one federal district; it also has numerous overseas territories.
At over 3.7 million square miles (over 9.5 million km2), the U.S. is the third or fourth largest country by total area, depending on whether the disputed areas of China are included. It is the world's third most populous nation, with nearly 300 million people.
The United States has maintained a liberal democratic political system since it adopted its Articles of Confederation on 1 March 1781 and the Constitution, the Articles' replacement, on 17 September 1787. American military, economic, cultural, and political influence increased throughout the 20th century; with the collapse of the Soviet Union at the end of the Cold War, the nation emerged as the world's sole remaining superpower.[2] Today, it plays a major role in world affairs.
The earliest known use of the name America is from 1507, when a globe and a large map created by the German cartographer Martin Waldseemüller in Saint-Die-des-Vosges described the combined continents of North and South America. Although the origin of the name is uncertain[3], the most widely held belief is that expressed in an accompanying book, Cosmographiae Introductio, which explains it as a feminized version of the Latin name of Italian explorer Amerigo Vespucci (Americus Vespucius); in Latin, the other continents' names were all feminine. The Americas were also known as Columbia, after Columbus, prompting the name District of Columbia for the land set aside as the U.S. capital. A female personification of the country is also called Columbia; she is similar to Britannia.[4][5][6][7] Columbus Day, a holiday in the U.S. and other countries in the Americas commemorating Columbus' October 1492 landing.
The term "united States of America" was first used officially in the Declaration of Independence, adopted on 4 July 1776. On 15 November 1777, the Second Continental Congreadopted the Articles of Confederation, the first of which stated "The Stile of this Confederacy shall be 'The United States of America.'"
The adjectival and demonymic forms for the United States are American, a point of controversy among some.
