摘要：語言作為人類生活的交際工具，本來就是生動活潑，千變萬化的。它決不是語音、詞匯、語法三要素的機械組合。所以，我們除了平時抓好課堂45分鐘教學之外，還應開展一些豐富多彩的課外活動。積極參與課外活動，學生們不僅可以加深鞏固理解課堂所學知識，逐步掌握語言知識和技能；更可以擴大知識面，拓寬學生視野，積累豐富的跨文化知識，給他們提供一個生動有趣、形式多樣的語言環(huán)境，享受學英語的樂趣，達到學以致用的目的，有利于全面提高學生的自身素質，與他人建立良好溝通的橋梁，也是初中學生英語學習中的重要環(huán)節(jié)。

一、課外活動的必要性
英語課外活動是新課程改革的迫切需要，隨著基礎教育課程改革 的不斷深入，對身處改革一線的英語教師提出了新的要求；教師必須轉變教育角色，調整教學策略；還要求具備課程開發(fā)能力和整合能力，培養(yǎng)學生探究學習的能力，加強對新技能的學習培訓。英語課外活動是英語教學過程的一個有機組成部分，是課堂教學的重要補充，是它的延續(xù)和深化。學生的創(chuàng)新精神和實踐能力是在豐富多彩的課外活動中實現(xiàn)的，課外活動拓展學生獲得知識，應用知識的渠道，拓寬實踐活動的空間。
在這樣的活動中，學生能接觸到更貼近學習實際、貼近生活、貼近時代的信息資源，主動高效地獲取知識，還可發(fā)揮特長，參與意識也隨之不斷增強，充分感受到成功的樂趣，體驗良好的學習情感，且最大限度展現(xiàn)學習者學習的潛能，交流方式也將由課內活動的單、雙向交流，轉為多向交流的方式。因此，教師要重視開展各種適合學生語言水平和年齡特點的課外活動。
二、英語課外活動教學的實踐與思考
1、設計的活動必須要有可操作性
活動的內容必須符合學生的年齡特點、興趣需要，活動的要求必須符合學生的認知水平，活動的經(jīng)費、材料以及實現(xiàn)途徑必須在學生可操控的范圍內。每一個課外活動都應針對不同班級、不同學生進行具體地設計，每一項活動都應該是學生應該完成而且能夠做到的，切忌超越學生的能力要求。
2、英語課外活動的組織要有計劃性
在開展活動之前，教師要和本教研組教師、班主任教師和學生進行交流討論，事先聯(lián)系好活動地點，使課外活動在和諧愉悅的氛圍下開展，達到預期的效果。
3、英語課外活動要具有趣味性
興趣是求知獲益的先導，是同學們學習的動力，是打開知識寶庫的金鑰匙。英語課外活動不像課堂教學那樣要求學生遵循教學計劃的統(tǒng)一規(guī)定。學生可以根據(jù)自己的興趣和愛好自愿選擇。比如，有的學生喜歡英文歌曲，有的喜歡英語電影，有的`喜歡閱讀，還有的喜歡戲
劇表演等等。我國古代偉大教育家孔子說：“知之者不如好之者，好之者不如樂之者�！庇纱丝梢�，課外活動的趣味性可以激發(fā)學生強烈的求知欲，充分調動學生學習英語的的積極主動性，達到課堂活動和課外活動的統(tǒng)一。
4、英語課外活動要堅持學生的主體性，教師適當?shù)慕槿��！队⒄Z課程標準》指出：“學生的發(fā)展是英語課程的出發(fā)點和歸宿。
教師在活動中的只要扮演好引導和監(jiān)督的角色，讓學生做活動的主體，充分的調動每個學生的主動性和積極性，發(fā)揮學學生的聰明才智，堅持“從學生中來到學生中去”的原則，鍛煉學生的自主創(chuàng)新能力。在學生遇到困難、或不能有效開展活動，教師的指導變得非常必要。教師主要在活動組織方法、活動成果表述方式上給予指導，對具體的活動過程不宜介入太多，否則會壓抑學生創(chuàng)造性，造成學生的依賴心理。
三、課外活動的形式
英語課外活動的形式是豐富多彩的。教師要根據(jù)學生的年齡特點、認知規(guī)律、興趣愛好、以及他們的英語水平，引導學生選擇適合他們的課外活動。下面介紹幾種形式：
1、組織各種英語競賽活動
想讓別人知道自己的長處，這是正常人的普遍心理，這一點在中學生言行中表現(xiàn)得尤為突出。據(jù)此．可以以年級為單位的英語競賽活動，如英語書法比賽、口語比賽、聽力比賽等，這樣使他們能在今后的工作和社會交往中能夠用英語進行口頭和書面信息交流；而且教師

觀看英語原聲電影不僅學生最感興趣的一種活動，也是給學生創(chuàng) 設英語學習最佳語境的一種手段，可以收到事半功倍的效果。教師可以向學生推薦一些經(jīng)典的富于教育意義和趣味性的英語原聲電影，通過這種形式可以鍛煉學生的英語聽說能力，了解歐美的國家文化和風土人情。
3、英語寫作沙龍
學生有了一定的英語基礎后，便有了想把內心想法和看到的事物寫出來的沖動，可以成立“英語寫作沙龍”，從取材、詞句應用等方面指導學生，引導學生充分發(fā)揮想象力，發(fā)展學生的創(chuàng)造性思維。每學期將優(yōu)秀的英語小作文組編成英文習作集，有的還向報刊投稿。
4、開設英語角
聽說是英語交際能力的組成部分，抓好聽說訓練，使學生在英語環(huán)境中，增強語感。在校園某一地方，在規(guī)定的時間里，有教師組織學生談天說地�？梢允抢蠋熍c學生，也可以是學生與學生之間自由交談，談感興趣的話題。學生從自己的進步中得到鼓舞，積極地投入聽說交際，隨著語言知識的增加和聽說能力的加強，逐步提高說話的水平，這樣有利于英語課外活動的順利開展。
