當(dāng)我還是高一年級時(shí)，我看到臺上哥哥姐姐舌燦蓮花，充滿自信的表現(xiàn)，讓我崇拜不已，我期待有一天我也能像他們一樣，能站在學(xué)校的舞臺，盡情的表現(xiàn)自己。沒想 到當(dāng)我升上四年級時(shí)，竟然意外獲得校長的推薦，給了我一個夢寐以求的英語演講機(jī)會。當(dāng)老師告訴我這個從天上掉下來的消息時(shí)，剎那間，我嚇得目瞪口呆。
我懷著既期待又緊張的心情準(zhǔn)備，在練習(xí)的過程中，英語老師為了要我適應(yīng)計(jì)時(shí)鈴聲，控制好說完故事的時(shí)間，模擬了比賽鈴聲響起的各種突發(fā)狀況。 當(dāng)我第一次練習(xí)聽到催促的鈴聲，我心想：“天��！超過時(shí)間會被評審扣分！”頓時(shí)，我難過得流下傷心的眼淚。老師頻頻安慰我，要我心平氣和熟悉比賽的氣氛。
經(jīng)過反覆的練習(xí)，我漸漸的適應(yīng)鈴聲所帶給我的影響，并且能駕輕就熟的把握時(shí)間，最后，我終于能在規(guī)定時(shí)間內(nèi)說完故事，也得到更多的自信。
到了正式比賽的當(dāng)天，我自信滿滿帶著精心設(shè)計(jì)的各種道具來到比賽現(xiàn)場。每個參賽對手實(shí)力堅(jiān)強(qiáng)，看到每個人將辛苦練習(xí)的成果，淋漓盡致的展現(xiàn)在舞臺上，激起了我強(qiáng)大的'斗志。輪到我上臺時(shí)，我從容自若氣定神閑的態(tài)度，以及燦爛可愛的笑容，博得評審和觀眾如雷的掌聲，英語老師和親自前來為我鼓勵打氣的爸媽都極力稱贊我，我對自己的表現(xiàn)給予最高的評價(jià)，大家都斬釘截鐵的認(rèn)為冠軍非我莫屬。
當(dāng)成績公布時(shí)，出乎意料的，我居然名落孫山，當(dāng)場嚎啕大哭，爸媽只能在一旁安慰鼓勵我。
