目前筆者所在地區(qū)采用的是新編北師大版高中英語教材。這套教材一大優(yōu)點在于其語言材料的組織都是圍繞某個主題展開的。每單元有一個主題，下面每一課都有自己的話題，對于這些話題學生都較感興趣，有話可說。這樣的教材編排特點適合開展主題寫作活動。每個單元的前三課或四課是單元話題下的基本詞匯、短語、句型和語法項目的學習，Communication Workshop是對單元知識的擴展和綜合運用，通常有基于單元話題的寫作指導及任務。學生獲得的單元基礎語言知識以及他們運用語言知識的準確和熟練程度，完全可以通過話題寫作活動來檢驗和強化，而且主題寫作活動可以體現(xiàn)語言學習的價值和意義。
�。ǘ� 主題寫作教學實例
下面結(jié)合新編北師大版高中英語教材第7模塊，第21單元的主題寫作教學案例進行探析。
本單元的話題是人類生物學，通過單元學習，學生應能夠流利地運用單元目標詞匯和基本句型來討論有關(guān)人類科學的相關(guān)話題。食物、健康和醫(yī)學是人類生存和發(fā)展中永恒的話題。學生對人類科學有較為濃厚的興趣，所以此單元話題下的寫作圍繞人類發(fā)展展開，貼近學生的生活，易于激發(fā)學生的寫作興趣。學生對單元主題詞匯和基礎語句已經(jīng)有了一定的掌握和積累，能夠用單元基礎語言材料組織語句，表達自己的想法。教師在指導學生進行主題寫作時，完全可以依托單元話題語料。
克隆人是在人類生物學發(fā)展到今天無法回避的話題，但具有極大爭議性，這種本身有爭議的話題正適合本單元Communication Workshop的寫作要求Learn to write a discursive essay，此文體要求學生第一段介紹話題，第二三段分述反面觀點及正面觀點，最后一段給出個人觀點。但由于克隆人在現(xiàn)實世界中還沒有出現(xiàn)，同時又遠離學生生活，因此為了給學生帶來更直觀的感受，教師最好課前布置所有同學回家觀看電影《逃離克隆島》，這部電影探討了科隆人及其引發(fā)的道德問題。
課堂上教師首先利用大量的與主題相關(guān)的圖片、電影片段等創(chuàng)設談論克隆人的氛圍，讓學生用英語表明自己對克隆人這一科學話題的態(tài)度。這一活動激活了學生寫作所需的話題詞匯，可以作為寫前的熱身。從交際功能的角度講，這樣的聽、說形式的語言活動，不但不會沖擊主題寫作活動，反而與主題寫作教學是相互統(tǒng)一、相互促進的。
在完成上述活動后，教師引導學生通過小組合作寫一段話介紹克隆人話題并過渡到Should Human Cloning be allowed?這一主題上。這一活動調(diào)動了學生的寫作積極性和主動參與意識，在輕松活躍的氛圍中強化了其對概括技巧的理解和運用，學生的語言儲備和發(fā)散思維得到充分激活，他們更加愉悅和主動地參與主題討論，為下一步的寫作活動做好前期準備。

教師可以要求學生在寫完提綱后，同伴間相互交換檢查，檢查內(nèi)容包括拼寫、用詞是否準確，句式是否準確，語法是否準確，語言表達是否流暢、豐富等�；ピu可以鼓勵學生間健康向上的競爭，激發(fā)競爭意識，促使每個學生盡力提供最好的作品，并且糾錯之一的過程有時語言知識的再現(xiàn)和再復習過程，能夠使學生在交流中得到更多的幫助，收獲不同的語言思維和語言表達方式，補充和豐富自己的語言學習。
在提綱寫作的基礎上，引導學生利用Writing Help中的格式要求(正式與中立的風格)，以及Communication Workshop中的連接詞（although, even though, however, therefore, while）獨立完成寫作任務。此寫作活動充分強化了有關(guān)連接詞的理解即運用，提高了學生的寫作能力。
學生最終完成習作后，將學生的作文張貼在教師里，讓學生互相批閱。學生互相批閱能激發(fā)他們主動尋找差距的意識，也是對單元目標語言再理解、再鞏固的過程。學生從另外的角度反思自己習作中的語言運用，強化語用意識和語言運用能力。教師在學生批閱完后，可再作進一步檢查。這屬于指導性主題寫作。通過教師不同程度的引導和幫助，學生將自己要表達的思想通過一定的邏輯組織后用文字表達出來。
這種主題寫作練習可以是獨立完成，也可以是小組合作，方式可以靈活多樣。指導性主題寫作是介于模仿性寫作和自由寫作之間的過渡性寫作，學生在進行大量的模仿性寫作練習和指導性寫作練習后，才能掌握一定的寫作技巧，從而進行自由寫作。指導性主題寫作可以幫助學生從原始的模仿性單元語料學習過渡到具有創(chuàng)造性的基礎語言運用，提升綜合語言運用能力。
六、結(jié)束語

In nature there are many more miserable than this things are happening, perhaps this is fate, it is inevitable in the growing of a test.
Not often say that animals are friends of human beings? Not often say that people for the ethical treatment of animals, protect the earth? Maybe this is just for those rare animals! Those animals that almost nearly perish! Pigs in a country of the world, one city, a town, a village, or even a home, a person can see. Pigs are a lot of, is not worth to treat? Pig also is to have life, and human beings, it also know pain, also have feelings, also know how sad. People for the ethical treatment of animals! The animals as their friends, for they give a little love!
Animals are friends of human beings, like humans, are the people of the earth. Let us hands reach out, to protect, to help those who need help human friends!
一個周日的下午，我漫不經(jīng)心地調(diào)著電視頻道。突然，慘不忍睹的一幕進入我的視線：一個農(nóng)民模樣的人正拿著一根鐵棍敲打什么，原來是一群屠夫正在屠殺一頭不怎么大的小豬。
我親眼目睹了這一切。發(fā)現(xiàn)豬的命運竟是這么悲慘!難道這是命運安排好的嗎?還是豬前世的好吃懶惰造成的?我發(fā)現(xiàn)“人”竟是那么狠心。自己養(yǎng)了這么長時間的豬，竟然狠心殺掉它。哎，我發(fā)現(xiàn)此刻自己竟是那么的傷心，那么的悲痛，那么的迷惘，那么的無奈。大自然中還有很多比這更悲慘的事情正在發(fā)生，或許這就是命運，這就是在成長中不可避免的一次考試。
不是常說動物是人類的朋友嗎?不是常說善待動物，保護地球的嗎?可能這只是針對那些稀有的動物罷了!那些幾乎將近滅亡的動物罷了!豬在世界的某個國家，某個城市，某個城鎮(zhèn)，某個村莊，甚至某家某戶都可以見到。豬是很多，多到不值得善待?豬也是有生命的，和人類一樣，它也知道痛，也有感情，也懂得傷心。善待動物吧!把動物當成自己朋友，對它們付出一點愛吧!
動物是人類的朋友，同人類一樣，都是地球的子民。讓我們伸出雙手，去保護，去幫助那些需要幫助的人類的朋友吧!
