recreations are an important part of people's life. for eample, after hours of attentive study, students will feel like having a football game to rela their nerves. workers may find it very satisfying to sit in front of a tv set for an hour or two when they come back from a day's tiring work. besides, recreations serve as a pleasant way for the retired people to pass their job-free time. everywhere you go, you will find that during their spare time, people are engaged in recreational activities of sue kind or another.
generally speaking, there are two kinds of recreations: physical activities and intellectual activities. physical activities keep one fit and develop team spirit. basketball is an eample. intellectual activities, such as playing chess and reading novels, can train one's brain and provide temporary escape from one's trouhles.
in my opinion, there should be a balance between the two forms of activities. this is because physical activities are necessary for good health while intellectual activities are beneficial to one's mind. there fore, in order to make his life enjoyable and colorful, one should go in for beth kinds of pastimes.

Ever since the birth of it, the computer has largely changed human being’s life and there has been a hot debate about its effects on humans. Undeniably, computers have taken the place of humans in many areas and it seems that computers begin to think like man, but this does not necessarily lead to the danger that man will think like computers.
The reasons, in my opinion, are as follows. Firstly, when computers release human from repetitive tasks, humans themselves can spend more time on creative works, such as scientific research, which require imagination and cannot be completed by computers. Meanwhile, thanks to computers, humans get more spare time with their friends and family, which enhances their happiness. Moreover, even though computers can work automatically, the premise is that the program, which is written by humans, has been installed in it.
In conclusion, humans, unlike computers, have creative ability, emotional desires and social bounds. Thus, I don’t think that there will be the danger that man will begin to think like the computer.

Say No to Pirated Products
There is no denying the fact that piracy is a grave problem with which we are confronted. Taking a look around, we can find examples too numerous to list. In many places we see people peddling pirated books or disks.
A number of factors could account for the problem, but the following might be the most critical ones. First, pirated products are much cheaper than copyrighted ones, so they are very attractive to people, especially youngsters, who are not financially well-off. Secondly, with highly developed technology, it is not difficult to manufacture pirated products. With one authorized copy, the illegal producers can make thousands of fake ones at a very low cost, thus making huge profits.
As a result, intellectual property rights are severely infringed upon. Honest producers will lose the motivation to develop new products. Meanwhile, pirated products are often of low quality, thus damaging the interest of buyers.
In view of the seriousness of the problem, it is essential that laws and regulations be formulated and enforced to ban the manufacture and circulation of pirated products. Meanwhile, people should be educated to say no to these products. With these measures taken, we have reasons to believe that the problem can be solved in the near future.
