　　disarmed，unarmed

　　這兩個(gè)詞都是動詞 to arm的派生詞，由過去分詞armed加否定前綴 dis－，un-而成，可是它們的涵義并不相同。

　　Disarmed的意思是被解除武裝的（be taken away all ones weapons），例如： disarmed rebels、disarmed captives、disarmed regiments、disarmed bandits.例：

　　The police are cross－questioning the disarmed bandits．

　　警方正在訊問那些被繳械的匪徒。

　　The disamed rebels are given a reprieve．

　　被繳械的叛亂份子獲緩刑。

　　有時(shí)，disarmed亦可用作譬喻意義，如：disarmed by a smile（ones charming manner or smart dress）。例：

　　He was disamed by her smile．

　　她的笑容使他失去警覺。

　　請注意，在此例中，disarmed用作謂語動詞，不是定語。

　　Unarmed的意思是不帶武器的、沒有武裝的。例：

　　They are unarmed plain-clothes men．

　　他們是不帶武器的`便衣警察。

　　All the ships are unarmed．

　　所有的船都是沒有武裝的。

　　有時(shí)，unarmed亦可轉(zhuǎn)義，表示無防備的意味。例如：

　　The soldiers were shooting the unarmed crowd．

　　士兵們在向毫無防備（手無寸鐵）的人群開槍。
