是夕陽中的新娘； Are young brides in the setting sun;

軟泥上的青荇， The floating heart growing in the sludge

你說地獄不定比這世界文明
(雖則我不信，)象我這嬌嫩的花朵，
難保不再遭風暴，不叫雨打，
那時候我喊你，你也聽不分明，
那不是求解脫反投進了泥坑，
倒叫冷眼的鬼串通了冷心的人，
笑我的命運，笑你懦怯的粗心?
這話也有理，那叫我怎么辦呢?
活著難，太難就死也不得自由，
我又不愿你為我犧牲你的前程
唉!你說還是活著等，等那一天!
有那一天嗎?你在，就是我的信心;
可是天亮你就得走，你真的忍心
丟了我走?我又不能留你，這是命;
但這花，沒陽光曬，沒甘露浸，
不死也不免瓣尖兒焦萎，多可憐!
你不能忘我，愛，除了在你的心里，
我再沒有命;是，我聽你的話，我等，
等鐵樹兒開花我也得耐心等;
愛，你永遠是我頭頂的一顆明星：
要是不幸死了，我就變一個螢火，
在這園里，挨著草根，暗沉沉的飛，
黃昏飛到半夜，半夜飛到天明，
只愿天空不生云，我望得見天
