經(jīng)典童話故事英語(yǔ)3則
童話對(duì)生活的幻想性反映，使其內(nèi)容極具廣度。因?yàn)橥捰谢瘡?fù)雜為單純、化深?yuàn)W為淺顯的特異功能，所以童話對(duì)社會(huì)生活的反映面遠(yuǎn)比小說(shuō)要寬廣得多。
仕數(shù)不遇
There was a scholar in the Zhou Dynasty who had tried several times in his life to seek for an official post, but failed again and again till his temples turned white.
One day, as he was walking on the road, he looked back upon the past and shed tears of sorrow. Someone asked him: "Why are you weeping?"
He replied: "Several times I have failed to win recognition. Now I am old and no longer have any opportunity. That is why I am weeping."
The man asked again: "Then how is it that you have never won recognition?"
He replied: "When I was young, I studied the classics hard and had all the literary qualifications. When I sought for an official post, unexpectedly the king liked to appoint old men. After the king died, his successor liked to appoint warriors1. I made a determined2 effort to learn martial3 arts, but when I had learned the military skills, the king who liked martial arts passed away. Now the new king likes to appoint young men, but I am already old. Thus I have never won recognition in my whole life and have never held an official post."
周朝有個(gè)讀書人，一生中幾次謀求做官，可是直到兩鬢斑白仍然沒(méi)有做成。
一天，他走在路上，回首往事，傷心地掉下了眼淚。有人問(wèn)道：“您為什么哭泣呢?”
他回答說(shuō)：“我?guī)状味嫉貌坏劫p識(shí)�，F(xiàn)在年紀(jì)大了，再也沒(méi)有機(jī)會(huì)了，因此哭泣。”
那人又問(wèn)：“那您怎么一次都得不到賞識(shí)呢?”
他回答說(shuō)：“我少年時(shí)苦讀經(jīng)書，文才兼?zhèn)�，去求官，不料君王喜歡任用老年人。君王死后，繼位的君王又喜歡任用武士，我發(fā)憤改學(xué)武藝，誰(shuí)知武功剛學(xué)成，好武的君王又死去了。現(xiàn)在新立的君王卻喜歡任用年輕人，而我已經(jīng)老了。就這樣，我終生不曾得到一次賞識(shí)，也沒(méi)有做過(guò)一次官。”
怪物和獵人
Long ago, there lived a huge monster. The monster looked like a human, but had a large body and much hair. His eye was in the middle of his forehead.
People were really afraid of this monster. That is because the monster ate up people. The people did not go neat the woods where the monster lived.
One day, a young hunter went hunting in the woods where the monster lived. He did not know that the monster lived there. He ran into the monster.
The brave hunter took out his arrow1 and shot2 the monster. The monster did not feel any pain and attacked the hunter. "How come he got shot, but he is alright..." The hunter shot a few more arrows,but the monster was not injured3 at all. The hunter only had one arrow left.
"That monster has to have a weak spot. Right! It must be that eye." The hunter shot his last arrow to the monster's eye. The monster was hit. It screamed and fell. The hunter barely4 killed the monster and realized it was the monster that people feared.
"This monster has to be burned so it won't ever bother people again." The hunter made a fire and turned the monster into ashes. Suddenly, a strong wind came and the ashes turned into an insect.
The insect attacked the hunter and began sucking5 his blood. The hunter ran away from the insect. The ashes became a mosquito6 that still bothers us on a hot summer day.
很久以前，有過(guò)一個(gè)巨大的怪物。怪物看起來(lái)像一個(gè)人，但有一個(gè)很大的身體和很多毛。他的眼睛長(zhǎng)在他額頭中間。
人們真的很害怕這個(gè)怪物。這是因?yàn)檫@個(gè)怪物會(huì)吃人。人們不敢靠近怪物生活的樹(shù)林。
有一天，一個(gè)年輕的獵人在這個(gè)怪物居住的樹(shù)林里打獵。他不知道怪物住在這里。他跑進(jìn)了怪物的地盤。
勇敢的獵人拿出了他的箭，并射向這個(gè)怪物。怪物沒(méi)有感到任何疼痛，并攻擊獵人。“無(wú)論它怎么被射殺，但它還是沒(méi)事......”獵人又射出了幾箭，但是在這個(gè)怪物還是沒(méi)有受傷。獵人只剩一只箭了。
“那怪物一定有一個(gè)弱點(diǎn)。對(duì)了!一定是它的.眼睛。”獵人把他最后的一只箭射向怪物的眼睛。怪物被射中了。它尖叫著倒下了。獵人好不容易殺死了怪物，然后意識(shí)到這就是人們害怕的那只怪物。
“這個(gè)怪物必須燒毀了，然后它就不能再不會(huì)打擾人類了。”這個(gè)獵人生了火，把怪物化為了灰燼。突然，吹起了一陣奇怪的風(fēng)，而這些灰燼變成一種昆蟲(chóng)。
這些昆蟲(chóng)攻擊獵人，并開(kāi)始吮吸他的血。獵人從昆蟲(chóng)那里逃走了。這些灰燼變成了蚊子，仍然在每個(gè)炎熱的夏天來(lái)騷擾我們。
聰明的國(guó)王所羅門
Long, long ago, there was a king. Solomon was his name. He was very clever.
很久很久之前，有一位國(guó)王，他的名字叫所羅門，他非常聰明。
In his country, there were two women. They lived in the same house and each had a child.
在他的國(guó)家里，有兩位婦女，她們住在同一間房子里。各有一個(gè)嬰孩。
One night, one of the babies died. The dead baby's mother took the other woman's baby, and put it in her own bed.
一天夜里，其中一個(gè)嬰孩死了。死了孩子的媽媽抱走了另一位婦女的孩子，并放在自己的床上。
The next morning , they had a quarrel.
第二天早上，她們發(fā)生了爭(zhēng)吵。
“No, this is my baby!” The dead is yours!”
“不，這是我的孩子!這個(gè)死的是你的!”
Each one both wanted the living baby. So they went to see King Solomon.
她們都想要這個(gè)活著的孩子，于是她們?nèi)ヒ?jiàn)所羅門國(guó)王。
“Bring me a knife, cut the child into two and give each woman one half.” said the King.
“給我拿把刀來(lái)，把這個(gè)孩子切成兩半，每人一半。”國(guó)王判決道。
“Oh. Your Majesty! Give her my baby. Please don't kill my baby!”One of the women cried and shouted.
“哦，陛下，把我的孩子給她吧。請(qǐng)不要?dú)⒘宋业暮⒆?”其中一位婦女哭喊道。
Then King Solomon pointed to the woman in tears and said, “Give the baby to her. She is the mother.”
于是所羅門指著流淚的婦女說(shuō)：“把孩子給她，她是孩子真正的母親。”
