Love and Friendship英文詩(shī)歌

　　Love is like the wild rose-briar;

　　Friendship like the holly-tree*.

　　The holly is dark when the rose-briar blooms*,

　　But which will bloom most constantly?

　　*The wild rose-briar is sweet in spring,

　　Its summer blossoms scent the air;

　　Yet wait till winter comes again,

　　And who will call the wild-briar fair? *

　　Then, scorn the silly rose-wreath now,

　　And deck thee with hollys sheen,

　　That, when December blights thy brow,

　　He still may leave thy garland en.*

　　*愛(ài)情像野玫瑰，友情像冬青。

　　當(dāng)玫瑰開(kāi)花的時(shí)候，冬青卻墨綠著，表示愛(ài)情激烈而友情則平淡。

　　哪種能保持盛開(kāi)的狀態(tài)，答案當(dāng)然是后者。

　　*野玫瑰在春天和夏天開(kāi)花，花香四溢。

　　但是到了冬天，誰(shuí)會(huì)說(shuō)它漂亮呢？

　　表示愛(ài)情之花盛開(kāi)的時(shí)候十分甜蜜，但過(guò)了高潮，就不再值得稱(chēng)道了。

　　*冬青在平時(shí)不很惹眼，甚至遭人唾棄，但當(dāng)冬天來(lái)臨，萬(wàn)物皆枯萎的'時(shí)候，

　　花園里的它還充滿(mǎn)生機(jī)和活力。

　　表示友情平時(shí)可能不為人所重視或注意，但在人們遇到困難，沒(méi)有其他出路

　　的時(shí)候，它可能成為你的希望所在。
