instead of運(yùn)用
其功能與連詞十分相似,現(xiàn)歸納如下：
1、跟名詞
I give him advice instead of money.給了他忠告而沒(méi)有給他錢。
2、跟代詞
Will you go to the party instead of me?你代我去赴宴，好嗎？
3、跟形容詞
Things are now better instead of worse.情況不是更壞，而是更好了。
4、跟副詞
He walks slowly instead of quickly.他走得慢，而不是快了。
5、跟動(dòng)詞（短語(yǔ)）
That increased instead of decreased our courage.那不但沒(méi)有減弱反而增強(qiáng)了我們的`勇氣。一般來(lái)說(shuō),instead of不能直接接動(dòng)詞的.從語(yǔ)法角度來(lái)說(shuō),這種用法是錯(cuò)誤的.
6、跟動(dòng)名詞（短語(yǔ)）
We should encourage them instead of throwing cold water on them.我們應(yīng)該鼓勵(lì)他們而不是對(duì)他們潑冷水。
7、跟動(dòng)名詞復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)
They must make up their own minds instead of our making their minds for them.
他們應(yīng)當(dāng)自己下決心而不是我們替他們下決心。
8、跟介詞短語(yǔ)
He laughed with (us) instead of at us. 他跟我們一起笑，并不是嘲笑我們。
