1、表示方式、手段或工具等時(shí)（=以，用），注意不要受漢語(yǔ)意思的影響而用錯(cuò)搭配，如“用英語(yǔ)”習(xí)慣上用in English，而不是with English。
2、(表示人或物的`特征)意為“帶有”、“具有”。
如：(1)I like living in aroom with two windows．
我喜歡住在帶有兩個(gè)窗子的房間里。
(2)He is a little man with thick glasses．
他是個(gè)矮個(gè)的、戴著深度眼鏡的男人。
3、(表示工具、手段)意為“以……”、“用……”。
如：(1)We listen with our ears．我們用耳朵聽。
(2)I’m going to travel abroad with the money．我將用這些錢去國(guó)外旅游。
(3)The little boy is writing with a pencil．這個(gè)小男孩正在用鉛筆寫字。
4、與某些抽象名詞連用時(shí),其作用相當(dāng)于一個(gè)副詞.如：
with care=carefully 認(rèn)真地
with kindness=kindly 親切地
5、with 表原因或理由
John was in bed with high fever .
約翰因發(fā)燒臥床。
He jumped up with joy .
他因高興跳起來(lái)。
Father is often excited with wine .
父親常因白酒變的興奮。
6、with表想法,信念,態(tài)度與…一致
I agree with you on how to deal with it .
關(guān)于此事如何處理,我同意你的看法。
I believe with the headmaster that a good teacher should not only teach a student what to learn but also how to learn it .
我相信校長(zhǎng)所說(shuō),一個(gè)好老師不但教學(xué)生學(xué)什么,而且應(yīng)教學(xué)生怎么去學(xué)。
