　　例如：

　　I'm so sorry ,i thought i could come and see you this evening,but I'm not free after all

　　我非常抱歉，原本今天晚上我能來(lái)看你的，但是終究沒(méi)有空。

　　I expected to fail the exam,but i passed after all.

　　我原本以為考試不及格，但終究還是通過(guò)了。

　　2.after all也可指“別忘記了……”，它常常表示為了說(shuō)明某個(gè)好理由或者某個(gè)重要的辯論而提醒某人看起來(lái)忘記的事情，一般放在句首，例如：

　　It's not surprising you're hungry.After all,you didn't have breakfast.
