考研英語作文1
to strive to be among the top 100 in my field has always been my aspiration. for the materialization of this aspiration, i have dedicated all my enthusiasm and energy to my academic endeavors—both my studies and research—over the past few years. however, to my dismay, the unsatisfactory research conditions in china have caused the research and the therapeutic level in the field of my specialization, namely clinical medicine /gastroenterology, to lag behind those of the developed countries in the west by at least 10 years. many of the original ideas that i have developed on certain issues in my field cannot be fully put into practice on account of the limitations in personnel, eperimental facilities and research funds. consequently, i strongly wish that i can be admitted into your esteemed university to undertake an advanced degree program in clinical medicine & gastroenterology.
i have cherished a deep and long yearning for a chance to study at your university. as early as the years when i was an undergraduate at the department of medicine of (provincial) medical university, i had a chance to read the book the reach of helicobacter pylori edited by some professors of your university which influenced me to take up the study of digestive diseases as my area of specialization. later, during my master’s program, i focused on the development of the chronic stomach disease (gastrosia) and the incidence of the gastric cancer. the comprehensive research and practice that i have performed in this area further reinforce my determination to seek advanced studies at your university when there should be an opportunity. this is because your esteemed university enjoys a very high academic reputation for the research work you have carried out in the field of digestive disease study. this ensures that if i can be admitted into your program i will be part of your well-respected program and i will be able to undertake in-depth study and develop a close understanding of the most updated theories and technical developments in this field. by working together and echanging eperiences with the world’s leading eperts in this field, i will be eposed to wholly novel ideas of research and significantly broaden my academic vision.at the same time, as china is a country with a high incidence of hepatopathy (liver disease), i believe that i can make important contributions to the relevant research projects of your university with my rich clinical eperience in this field. of course, i am fully aware that, to be able to enroll in your prestigious and time-honored university, i will be inevitably confronted with fierce competitions from other elitist students the world over. but i have full confidence in myself as a worthy candidate for your program based on my past education, research and clinical eperience, as well as my aspiration to develop myself into a leading epert in china in my chosen area.
at the department of medicine and the graduate school of medical university, i respectively completed my bachelor’s program and my master’s program in internal medicine. through my academic endeavors, i have not only laid a firm yet comprehensive groundwork in medical theories, becoming well-read in classic medical literature, but also developed a sound ability in rigorous yet fleible logical thinking and a sense of scientific commitment. i am relatively strong at probing, from a micro perspective, into the etiopathologic and developmental mechanisms, at theoretically deducing the process of the genesis of a pathological state, and at demonstrating it through well-designed eperiments. during heated classroom discussions, i could always convince my classmates with my eloquent presentation, rigorous logical analysis and detailed eperimental statistics. in addition to that, i have also won general recognition from the teachers and professors who taught me.my research capacity, creative thinking and eperimental skills eperienced further improvement as i joined a research group at the research institute of digestive diseases to undertake a research project for my master’s program. under the leadership of prof. , the most celebrated specialist on digestion, i participated in the project the development of chronic stomach disease (gastrosia) & the mechanism of cancerization sponsored by provincial bureau of public health. in this project, i focused my research on the mechanism of action and the cellular immunity of the catalyst subunit telomerase in cancerization and investigated, through a microscopic approach, the clinical significance that those two factors may produce on the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of the gastric cancer. my thesis, entitled the epression of htert mrna and cellular immunity in gastric cancer and precancerosis won high evaluations from prof. and prof. and other specialists from union hospital and the no. 1 clinical medical institute of university. they rated my thesis as “demonstrating originality in conception and effective methodology, enriching relevant theories and having marked clinical significance.”
i have accumulated much practical clinical eperience since i started working at the no. 2 hospital of medical university which is classified as the “grade-a class-iii” hospital (the highest ranking for a hospital in china). based on my research during the master’s program, i epanded my research area to include the study on gastric cancer. i have published a total of si papers (please refer to my resume for more detailed information), including the latest the epression and the clinical implication of the catalyst subunit telomerase in gastric cancer and precancerosis, in the world journal of gastroenterology and other leading journals in china and collected into science citation inde-epanded inde medicus /medline and chemical abstracts. some of those papers were designated to be presented at annual conference on digestion in and province.while undertaking research, i have received formal and comprehensive training as resident physician of internal medicine and obtained national doctor license. through the training program i have grasped the pathogenetic mechanisms of gastrointestinal and liver diseases, cardiovascular diseases, endocrinopathy, pulimonary and connectiv tissue diseases and their corresponding diagnosis and treatment. in less than two years after working at the hospital, i passed the national-level qualifying eamination to have achieved the qualifications as the physician-in-charge in digestive internal medicine.
helicobacter pylori has been regarded as the key factor in the incidence of gastric diseases and the contributing factor in cancerization. the research in this field has reached the molecular level. i have a good foundation of academic research in this aspect. china has a high incidence of liver diseases and a large proportion of patients i deal with in my daily work are those of hepatitis, allowing me to acquire abundance clinical eperience and deep understanding concerning the genesis of the hepatitis and the disease-causing mechanism of the viruses. those two fields will be the area of focus in my prospective program at your university. ideally, i hope to achieve some breakthrough theoretically and technically.for too many times, i have witnessed the enfeeblement of the otherwise robust life of patients due to their physiological conditions. the horror of seeing the gradual dwindling of a strong-willed life is simply beyond description. but i have largely transmuted this horror into a motivation behind all my academic endeavors and professional practices. for me, success has only one meaning, that is, to unravel the mysteries of the diseases pestering human beings and to contribute to the well-being of my patients.

考研英語作文3
was no possibility of taking a walk that day. we had been wandering, indeed, in the leafless shrubbery an hour in the morning; but since dinner (mrs reed, when there was no company, dined early) the cold winter wind had brought with it clouds so sombre, and a rain so penetrating, that further outdoor eercise was now out of the question.
i was glad of it; i never liked long walks, especially on chilly afternoons: dreadful to me was the coming home in the raw twilight, with nipped fingers and toes, and a heart saddened by the chidings of bessie, the nurse, and humbled by the consciousness of my physical inferiority to eliza, john, and georgiana reed.
the said eliza, john, and georgiana were now clustered round their mamma in the drawing-room: she lay reclined on a sofa by the fire side, and with her darlings about her (for the time neither quarrelling nor crying) looked perfectly happy. me, she had dispensed from joining the group, saying, she regretted to be under the necessity of keeping me at a distance; but that until she heard from bessie, and could discover by her own observation that i was endeavouring in good earnest to acquire a more sociable and childlike disposition, a more attractive and sprightly manner — something lighter, franker, more natural, as it were — she really must eclude me from privileges intended only for contented, happy little children.
what does bessie say i have done? i asked.
jane, i dont like cavillers or questioners, besides, there is something truly forbidding in a child taking up her elders in that manner. be seated somewhere; and until you can speak pleasantly, remain silent.
a small breakfast-room adjoined the drawing-room, i slipped in there. it contained a bookcase; i soon possessed myself of a volume, taking care that it should be one stored with pictures. i mounted into the window- seat: gathering up my feet, i sat cross- legged, like a turk; and, having drawn the red moreen curtain nearly close, i was shrined in double retirement.
folds of scarlet drapery shut in my view to the right hand; to the left were the clear panes of glass, protecting, but not separating me from the drear november day. at intervals, while turning over the leaves in my book, i studied the aspect of that winter afternoon. afar, it offered a pale blank of mist and cloud; near, a scene of wet lawn and storm-beat shrub, with ceaseless rain sweeping away wildly before a long and lamentable blast.
i returned to my book — bewicks history of british birds: the letter press thereof i cared little for, generally speaking; and yet there were certain introductory pages that, child as i was, i could not pass quite as a blank. they were those which treat of the haunts of sea-fowl; of the solitary rocks and promontories by them only inhabited; of the coast of norway, studded with isles from its southern etremity, the lindeness, or naze, to the north cape —
where the northern ocean, in vast whirls, boils round the naked, melancholy isles of farthest thule; and the atlantic surge pours in among the stormy hebrites.
nor could i pass unnoticed the suggestion of the bleak shores of lapland, siberia, spitzbergen, nova zembla, iceland, greenland, with the vast sweep of the arctic zone, and those forlorn regions of dreary space — that reservoir of frost and snow, where firm fields of ice, the accumulation of centuries of winters, glazed in alpine heights above heights, surround the pole, and concentre the multiplied rigours of etreme cold . of these death-white realms i formed an idea of my own: shadowy, like all the half-comprehended notions that float dim through childrens brains, but strangely impressive. the words in these introductory pages connected themselves with the succeeding vignettes, and gave significance to the rock standing up alone in a sea of billow and spray; to the broken boat stranded on a desolate coast; to the cold and ghastly moon glancing through bars of cloud at a wreck just sinking.
i cannot tell what sentiment haunted the quite solitary churchyard, with its inscribed headstone; its gate, its two trees, its low horizon, girdled by a broken wall, and its newly risen crescent, attesting the hour of eventide.
the two ships becalmed on a torpid sea, i believed to be marine phantoms.
the fiend pinning down the thiefs pack behind him, i passed over quickly: it was an object of terror.
so was the black, horned thing seated aloof on a rock, surveying a distant crowd surrounding a gallows.
each picture told a story; mysterious often to my undeveloped understanding and imperfect feelings, yet ever profoundly interesting: as interesting as the tales bessie sometimes narrated on winter evenings, when she chanced to be in good humour; and when, having brought her ironing-table to the nursery-hearth, she allowed us to sit about it, and while she got up mrs reeds lace frills, and crimped her nightcap borders, fed our eager attention with passages of love and adventure taked from old fairy tales and older ballads; or (as at a later period i discovered) from the pages of pamela, and henry, earl of moreland.
with bewick on my knee, i was then happy: happy at least in my way. i feared nothing but interruption, and that came too soon. the breakfast- room door was opened.
boh! madam mope! cried the voice of john reed; then he paused: he found the room apparently empty.
where the dickens is she? he continued. lizzy! gcorgy! (calling to his sisters) jane is not here: tell mamma she is run out into the rain — bad animal!
it is well i drew the curtain, thought i, and i wished fervently he might not discover my hiding-place: nor would john reed have found it out himself; he was not quick either of vision or conception; but eliza just put her head in at the door, and said at once:
she is in the window-seat, to be sure, jack.
and i came out immediately, for i trembled at the idea of being dragged forth by the said jack.
what do you want? i asked with awkward diffidence.
say, "what do you want, master reed," was the answer. i want you to come here; and seating himself in an arrn-chair, he intimated by a gesture that i was to approach and stand before him.
john reed was a schoolboy of fourteen years old; four years older than i, for i was but ten; large and stout for his age, with a dingy and unwholesome skin; thick lineaments in a spacious visage, heavy limbs and large etremities. he gorged himself habitually at table, which made him bilious, and gave him a dim and bleared eye with flabby cheeks. he ought now to have been at school; but his mamma had taken him home for a month or two, on account of his dedicate health. mr. mila, the master, affirmed that he would do very well if he had fewer cakes and sweetmeat sent him from home; but the mothers heart turned from an opinion so harsh, and inclined rather to the more refined idea that johns sallowness was owing to over-application, and, perhaps to pining after home.
john had not much affection for his mother and sisters, and an antipathy to me. he bullied and punished me; not two or three times in the week, nor once or twice in a day, but continually: every nerve i had feared him, and every morsel of flesh on my bones shrank when he came near. there were moments when i was bewildered by the terror he inspired, because i had no appeal whatever against either his menaces or his inflictions; the servants did not like to offend their young master by taking my part against him, and mrs reed was blind and deaf on the subject: she never saw him strike or heard him abuse me, though he did both now and then in her very presence; more frequently, however, behind her back.
habitually obedient to john, i came up to his chair: he spent some three minutes in thrusting out his tongue at me as far as he could with out damaging the roots: i knew he would soon strike, and while dreading the blow, i mused on the disgusting and ugly appearance of him who would presently deal it. i wonder if he read that notion in my face; for, all at once, without speaking, he struck suddenly and strongly. i tottered, and on regaining my equilibrium retired back a step or two from his chair.
that is for your impudence in answering mamma a while since, said he, and for your sneaking way of getting behind curtains, and for the look you had in your eyes two minutes since, you rat!
accustomed to john recds abuse, i never had an idea of replying to it: my care was how to endure the blow which would certainly follow the insult.
what were you doing behind the curtain? he asked.
i was reading.
show the book.
i returned to the window and fetched it thence.
you have no business to take our books; you are a dependant, mamma says; you have no money; your father left you none; you ought to beg, and not to live here with gentlemens children like us, and eat the same meals we do, and wear clothes at our mammas epense. now, ill teach you to rummage my book-shelves: for they are mine; all the house belongs to me, or will do in a few years. go and stand by the door, out of the way of the mirror and the windows.
i did so, not at first aware what was his intention; but when i saw him lift and poise the book and stand in act to hurl it i instinctively started aside with a cry of alarm: not soon enough however; the volume was flung, it hit me, and i fell, striking my head against the door and cutting it. the cut bled, the pain was sharp: my terror had passed its clima; other feelings succeeded.
wicked and cruel boy! i said. you are like a murderer — you are like a slave-driver — you are like the roman emperors!
i had read goldsmiths history of rome, and had formed my opinion of nero, caligula, &c. also i had drawn parallels in silence, which i never thought thus to have declared aloud.
what! what! he cried. did she say that to me? did you hear her, eliza and georgiana? wont i tell mamma? but first —
he ran headlong at me: i felt him grasp my hair and my shoulder: he had dosed with a desperate thing. i really saw in him tyrant: a murderer. i felt a drop or two of blood from my head trickle down my neck, and was sensible of somewhat pungent suffering: these sensations for the time predominated over fear, and i received him in frantic sort. i dont very well know what i did with my hands, but he called me rat! rat! and bellowed out aloud. aid was near him: eliza and georgiana had run for mrs reed, who was gone upstairs; she now came upon the scene, followed by bessie and her maid abbot. we were parted: i heard the words: —
dear! dear! what a fury to fly at master john!
did ever anybody see such a picture of passion!
then mrs reed subjoined:
take her away to the red-room, and lock her in there. four hands were immediately laid upon me, and i was borne upstairs.

As we can see from the pie chart, it reveals the distribution of academic qualifications in the Internet industry. It is apparent that the percentage of people with a bachelor's degree is , which is amazingly high compared with that of people possessing a PhD or a MBA , whose proportion is and respectively.
So what are the invisible and probable reasons behind the phenomenon reflected by the chart? There are many factors for the dramatic difference. Firstly, the advance of higher education allows increasing students to obtain college degrees, which in turn contributes to the prevalence of the phenomenon. Secondly, that a group of people no longer regard academic promotion as an indispensable goal of their life is another decisive reason. With the severe competition in job hunting, a mass of students determine to obtain employment first rather than to further their studies. Thirdly, it is generally acknowledged that in the Internet industry, talents who can practice on the ground are more needed than highly educated talents who are more suitable in engaging in scientific research.
The analysis above may reasonably come to the conclusion that college degree is essential for everyone in the future, and a vast amount of graduates with university degrees will flood into the market of Internet industry.

When, however, considering the drawbacks, perhaps poilution is of prime problems. As more and more cars are produced and used,so the emission from their ehaust pipes contains an ever larger volume of poisonous gas, which not only pollutes the atmosphere but causes actual harm to the health of people. another serious problem is traffic congestion, endless queuse of cars crawling bumper to bumper through all the main streets.Difficulties in finding parking lots, and the cost of petrol and road ta all add to the driver s worries.
With both of these advantages and disadvantages of the use of a car in mind,I, personally, prefer to have my own car for work and play.I can have a wider choice of jobs as I no longer have to work locally, and I can make better use of my free time by driving out at weekends. the feeling of independence, and the freedom to go where I please, is what I enjoy most.

2) interpret its intended meaning, and
3) give your comments.

范文
Here are two pictures, both interesting but with sharply contrasted implication. As is vividly depicted in the first photo, a man is fishing with a traditional fishing rod. On the contrary, the second picture describes that the other boy is fishing with an improved fishing rod, which completes the contrast of the two pictures. Apparently, what the two drawings have subtly conveyed by their striking contrast is supposed to be given further analysis.
A conclusion could be drawn from the picture: innovation plays a vital role in our life. And my words are based upon the following two reasons. On the top of the list is that the modern society calls for innovation, which is the incentive of social improvement. In addition, there is the other point that no one can ignore. It is universally admitted that human are curious about new things, and that is the inner motivation of human.
According to the analysis above, it is advisable for us to take steps to encourage innovation. Of all the steps, mass media tends to function essentially in the work and it could make the general public realize the significance of innovation.

As is shown above, in the middle of the cartoon stands + 主題詞,which symbolizes + 主題詞的另一種表達(dá),+ 同位語即主題詞第三種表達(dá) + 表示主題詞動作的'非謂語動詞 (例如:in the middle of the cartoon stands a hot pot, which symbolizes culture, the one containing many Chinese culture symbol. The drawer’s intention seems to be highly self-evident and the meaning causes us to be thought-provoking. It is therefore safe to draw the conclusion that + 主題詞 + is momentous and fundamental to the mind what food is vital and significant to the body.)
Not only I, but also the best philosophers and poets also praise that this concept should be a permanent universal values. Obviously, I can think of no better reasons for the phenomenon other than the following two. Initially, the millennia-long run of + 主題詞 + left us with a lot of traditions that are extremely profoundly rooted. 加拓展句:主題詞 is a kind of emotional strength, which can support us no matter how dark around us becomes.(比如:愛心/自信/親情/團(tuán)結(jié)/堅持/誠信/友誼/樂觀的態(tài)度/是一種情感的力量,無論我們周圍有多么的黑暗,它都能支持我們。) Additionally, our government's effective measures and policies are playing a significant role in the realization of such a situation(.加拓展句:without 主題句,the heart would break.上面的主題詞都可以套進(jìn)去,比如:沒有愛心,心靈將會枯竭。) Just as an old Arab proverb has it, there is a growing tendency for the public in the west to think the significance of + 主題詞.
From what has been discussed above, the most important thing is not to say, but instead to do. Chinese citizens are expected to enhance their awareness that it is an indispensable part for the construction of harmonious society. Only in this way, can we /our country/ the individual have a glorious future.)

Write up a brief proposal, describing what you think the program should cover. Assume the class runs four hours a week for ten weeks. Also, assume people have no prior knowledge or any formal course work in computer science.

In social development, we should not over utilize our natural resources, as in the case of forests. A reasonable use of forests and reforestation are the best choices in the long run. Human beings should plan ahead when it comes to social development. Even though trees are in short demand today, we must still keep
Word資料. ..
the deforestation under control, for we do not want to eliminate all of our forests, which are essential to our existence. Reforestation is another wise practice. We may not fully benefit from planting trees for the time being, but we must continue doing so, since it will benefit later generations.
From the point of view of sustainable development, we have the responsibility to ensure that future generations have enough natural resources to use and arenot penalized for the shortsightedness of present day decision makers. In otherwords, we should not use up our natural resources just to meet our own present day needs, while ignoring the future of our planet.
