　　主先生，我懷著非常愉快的心情出席本屆年會。值此大會開幕之際，我為能有機(jī)會就和平與發(fā)展問題進(jìn)行發(fā)言謹(jǐn)向東道主致以深深的.謝意。與此同時(shí)我向所有與會代表致以崇高的敬意。Mr. Chairman, it is a great pleasure that I am here to attend this annual meeting. On the occasion of this opening ceremony, I would like to express my deep appreciation to the host for this opportunity to adress the topic of peace and development and pay my highest respect for all the reprasentatives present at the meeting.

　　這次會議為我們交換意見，消除誤解，達(dá)成共識提供了理想的場所。我愿借此機(jī)會就世紀(jì)之交建立一種世界政治與經(jīng)濟(jì)新格局，世界和平與發(fā)展的前景以及聯(lián)合國的作用等問題闡述我國政府的立場和觀點(diǎn)。This meeting provides us with an ideal arena where we will exchange views, clear misunderstandings and reach common ground. I would like to take this opportunity to elaborate on the positions and views of my government on the issues concerning the establishment of a new international political and economic order at the turn of this century, the prospect of world peace and development and the role of the united nations.
