　　What would life be without technology? In this world that we live in it isimpossible to be fully efficient in a business society without having graspknowledge of information and communications technology. Information technologyever changing in our business society and I desire to be a part of this changingprocess. Through out years of studying Information Technology I have grown tolike the subject. Although, part of the course is somewhat demanding, thefurther involvement in the course is what has drawn me most to the course. Myutmost belief is that a combination of both courses would enlighten and engageme through out my degree course. In my years of studying information andcommunication technology I have used softwares like Macromedia Flash andMacromedia Dreamweaver to create websites and also the use of Microsoft Accessto arrange data bases for businesses as my coursework. Both Business andInformation and Communications Technology are subjects I am totally in love withand testimony to this fact is the AS Award for Information and CommunicationsTechnology I received in the recent past. I have also excelled greatly inBusiness Studies both in GCSE level and AS level and hope to excel further inyears to come at your university. The world has had a rapid grown in globalmarkets through automation and e-commerce and this can be linked withInformation Technology and the web with the ultimate goal of being moreefficient in the rapidly growing global market. All these have provided me withinspiration to be involved in a world where new technology is beingdeveloped.

　　On a lighter note, I work in my school as a lunch time supervisor everylunch time for the past two years. This job has taught me what commitment, hardwork and time management is all about as I have managed to blend both myacademics and my job together and still be prompt in submitting in work andpreparing for exams and excelling in them. I thrive in situations where I haveto work under pressure as it makes me alert and spurs me in doing even greaterthings. My further sense of responsibility comes from my post as beenSanderson's events captain for my school. This has given me the opportunity tobe in control and create events for the house as well as feel as part of ateam.

　　Other aspects of life that interests me out of school are charitable works.I have seen first hand, the misfortune of people being born into the povertytrap and the human rights violations that ordinary people like us have to facebecause of the misfortune of being born into one of the poorest countries andcontinents on earth. This has made me more aware than other teenagers of theless privileged and handicapped in every society I live and always eager torender my help and support in any way I can. This has led me to volunteer at theLittle Monkey's Toddler group in Shaftesbury every week. In addition to thatevery Friday, I go to a neighbouring disabled children's primary school to helpthe teachers out with their sporting activities. Furthermore I am a member ofthe global student forum in which our aim is to see changes in our society byusing our initiative to make the world a better place.

　　Sometimes I see my self at the top floor of a business institution lookingdown at the works of my hands and I feel a sense of achievement, fulfilment,accomplishment and triumph all at the same time. In faith, this dream would becompleted through hard work and commitment inside an Information technology andbusiness degree for the next four years. A wise man once told me that there arethree types of people in this life, those that make it happen, those that watchit happen and those that ask: what happened? My aim is to be in the group ofthose who make it happen. I hope to be an asset to your university bothacademically and socially.

　　一般來說，加拿大大學(xué)的研究生院要求申請(qǐng)者具有正規(guī)大學(xué)四年制本科學(xué)士學(xué)位，或至少已讀完大四第1學(xué)期，并能在當(dāng)年取得畢業(yè)證書及學(xué)位證書的證明。另外，對(duì)于許多“專升本”“自考”的學(xué)生，申請(qǐng)加拿大研究生是比較困難的，但是這也不會(huì)排除一些例外情況。

　　2、擁有語言成績(jī)

　　申請(qǐng)加拿大留學(xué)讀碩士幾乎都不雙錄取，也就是說，在準(zhǔn)備申請(qǐng)加拿大研究生的時(shí)候，就應(yīng)該具備語言成績(jī)并達(dá)到研究生的錄取要求。通常情況下，加拿大研究生錄取對(duì)于語言的最低要求是托福80分以上或者雅思6.5以上，其中也要求至少4.0或6.0，好的加拿大留學(xué)大學(xué)還會(huì)有更高的要求。

　　3、大學(xué)后兩年努力，GPA成績(jī)比較高。

　　對(duì)于設(shè)有碩士學(xué)位的第1、二類大學(xué)，一般要求申請(qǐng)人大學(xué)后兩年的GPA在3.0或75%以上。但是如果你大學(xué)本科的后兩年不夠努力的話，那么GPA成績(jī)有可能受到影響，從而干擾到申請(qǐng)計(jì)劃。

　　4、應(yīng)該取得不錯(cuò)的英語成績(jī)。

　　加拿大的碩士一般只要求申請(qǐng)人有TOEFL或IELTS或其他英文考試如MELAB、CanTest成績(jī)，GRE只有部分學(xué)校的理工類專業(yè)需要，當(dāng)然對(duì)于申請(qǐng)MBA的學(xué)生來說，GMAT也是必需的。所以在申請(qǐng)前一定要先了解申請(qǐng)學(xué)校的要求，做到有的放矢。

　　5、選擇和本科階段一致的專業(yè)課程。

　　申請(qǐng)加拿大的碩士專業(yè)一般需要申請(qǐng)人具有相關(guān)本科背景，也就是說對(duì)于有學(xué)士學(xué)位的加拿大留學(xué)申請(qǐng)人來說，不是什么碩士專業(yè)都可以申請(qǐng)的，除了工商管理碩士(MBA)外，幾乎所有的加拿大碩士專業(yè)均要求申請(qǐng)人是同一本科專業(yè)畢業(yè)。而且，對(duì)于一些特殊專業(yè)，即使申請(qǐng)人具有本科專業(yè)背景，也不一定被錄取，如法律、會(huì)計(jì)、醫(yī)學(xué)等。

　　6、寫出一份能夠反映自我的文書。

　　三、生活方面的花費(fèi)

　　1、住宿費(fèi)

　　在加拿大留學(xué)，比較常見的住宿類型主要有三種：校內(nèi)宿舍、校外租房、寄宿家庭。校內(nèi)宿舍為學(xué)生提供兩餐，一年的住宿費(fèi)用在6000加元左右;寄宿家庭為學(xué)生提供一日三餐，每年的費(fèi)用在8000加元左右;相對(duì)來說，與同學(xué)在校外合租的比較便宜的一種方式，可以在此基礎(chǔ)上節(jié)省出20xx加元左右。

　　2、飲食方面的開銷

　　不同城市的消費(fèi)水平是不一樣的。這也就導(dǎo)致了生活費(fèi)用的差異。如果是在寄宿家庭或者是校內(nèi)宿舍居住，伙食費(fèi)用包含在住宿費(fèi)中，如果是校外租房，的一種方式是自己做飯，而且還可以符合自己的口味。一個(gè)月吃飯花費(fèi)平均在500加元左右。

　　3、日常開銷

　　通訊費(fèi)、交通費(fèi)等其它花費(fèi)一般每年大約需要800加元左右。對(duì)于交通方面，同學(xué)們可以在出行時(shí)提前規(guī)劃，和小伙伴預(yù)先買套票或者辦理學(xué)生票，都可以節(jié)省不少的費(fèi)用。
