辨析：
1) whole 著重“完整的”整體，指完整無(wú)缺的統(tǒng)一體，不可分割，一個(gè)不少，沒(méi)有絲毫減少和遺漏。whole在日常用語(yǔ)中用的最多，entire則可以修飾抽象名詞，而whole 則不行。如：They told me the whole story.
2) all 常可以和whole互換，但whole位于定冠詞、物主代詞之后，而all則放在它們之前。如：All the windows are open.
3) entire含“齊全無(wú)缺”之意，即其完整的程度達(dá)到既不可減少也不可增添的地步。如：The entire class will be there.全班都在這兒。
4) total指數(shù)量上的全部。如：The club has a total membership of about 300.這家俱樂(lè)部的成員總數(shù)約為300.
