定語、定語從句初探
一般來說,修飾名詞作定語的常見形式為形容詞、短語( 形容詞短語、介詞短語等)。如:
a beautiful girl
a girl in front of me
a tree 4 meters tall
那么一個句子放在名詞后面作定語當(dāng)然就是定語從句了,只不過這個從句和那個名詞之間要有一個紐帶即連接詞,在定語從句中叫關(guān)系詞,被修飾的名詞放在從句之前,先行一步,被叫做先行詞。
由此可見定語從句的存在要有三個要素即:先行詞、關(guān)系詞、定語從句。如:
The girl who is standing in front of me is my sister.
注意:(1) 一定要有先行詞,否則定語從句則是“無水之源”?粗湓拰幔縄s this girl who you talked of just now?
(2) 關(guān)系詞分類及作用
關(guān)系詞可分為關(guān)系代詞who, whom, whose, that, which 和關(guān)系副詞where, when, why等。
關(guān)系詞的作用重大: A. 起連接作用。B.代替先行詞。C.在定語從句中充當(dāng)成分。

wish后面的從句習(xí)慣用虛擬語氣。如:

5. V-ing 作狀語
分詞短語常在句中作狀語表示動作發(fā)生的時間、原因、伴隨等。分詞作狀語時,它的邏輯主語往往是這個句子的主語,應(yīng)注意句子的主語和分詞之間的關(guān)系。如主語是分詞動作的執(zhí)行者,應(yīng)用現(xiàn)在分詞;而主語如是動作的承受者,應(yīng)用過去分詞。
