        一、 教材分析:

        本模塊介紹南極洲的一些情況以及探險(xiǎn)家的探險(xiǎn)活動(dòng),使學(xué)生初步了解南極大陸的神秘,發(fā)揮對(duì)南極的想象,激發(fā)熱愛(ài)科學(xué)、克服困難的探險(xiǎn)精神。本課時(shí)是本模塊的第四課時(shí),主要處理Reading and Vocabulary(2)“How failure became success”(P6-7)的閱讀內(nèi)容,再通過(guò)這一閱讀的鋪墊材料練習(xí)一(P6)Ernest Shackleton在1914年《泰晤士報(bào)》的一則廣告引出寫(xiě)作任務(wù):實(shí)用性寫(xiě)作--申請(qǐng)信的寫(xiě)作方法。閱讀材料是一篇典型的信息輸入載體,寫(xiě)作被看作是輸出的過(guò)程。嘗試把傳統(tǒng)的閱讀課與寫(xiě)作課相結(jié)合,本著閱讀訓(xùn)練為主,聽(tīng)、說(shuō)能力為輔,最終以寫(xiě)作為途徑,解決一個(gè)實(shí)際問(wèn)題。

        在這一課時(shí)中教學(xué)任務(wù)的完成過(guò)程主要以多媒體課件輔助教學(xué),再以導(dǎo)學(xué)案配合教學(xué),分為課前預(yù)習(xí)、課中導(dǎo)學(xué)、課后延展三個(gè)部分,力求使學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)過(guò)程中可以根據(jù)教師設(shè)計(jì)的學(xué)案,認(rèn)真閱讀教材,了解教材內(nèi)容,然后完成相關(guān)任務(wù)。在培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的自主學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣的基礎(chǔ)上,教師加以精講點(diǎn)撥,以達(dá)到高效學(xué)習(xí)的目的。

        二、 學(xué)情分析:

        本課的教學(xué)對(duì)象為高中二年級(jí)的學(xué)生,學(xué)生年齡大多在17-18歲,已意識(shí)到英語(yǔ)的重要性,非常希望學(xué)好英語(yǔ)。他們通過(guò)前幾年的學(xué)習(xí),已經(jīng)具備了一定的聽(tīng)說(shuō)讀寫(xiě)能力、自主學(xué)習(xí)能力和分析理解能力。但根據(jù)高中教學(xué)和高考的要求,仍需要進(jìn)一步的提高,特別是閱讀和寫(xiě)作能力。

        三、 三維目標(biāo):

        1. 知識(shí)與技能:

        1)通過(guò)各種不同形式的閱讀活動(dòng),提高學(xué)生獲取、理解和運(yùn)用信息的能力及分析問(wèn)題的能力。

        2) 掌握申請(qǐng)信的寫(xiě)作方法,完成寫(xiě)作任務(wù)。

        2. 過(guò)程與方法:

        1)通過(guò)閱讀提高概括和略讀、查讀能力。

        2)任務(wù)型教學(xué),掌握申請(qǐng)信的寫(xiě)作方法和技巧。

        3. 情感態(tài)度和價(jià)值觀:

        1)通過(guò)對(duì)閱讀材料的理解,激發(fā)學(xué)生熱愛(ài)科學(xué)、克服困難的探險(xiǎn)精神。

        2)通過(guò)導(dǎo)學(xué)案的使用,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生良好的學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣。

        四、 教學(xué)重難點(diǎn):

        1. 教學(xué)重點(diǎn):

        1) 調(diào)動(dòng)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的積極性,使他們主動(dòng)參與學(xué)習(xí)活動(dòng)。

        2) 能提取、篩選文章中的信息。

        2. 教學(xué)難點(diǎn):掌握申請(qǐng)信的寫(xiě)作方法,完成寫(xiě)作任務(wù)。

        五、 教學(xué)方法:

        1. 任務(wù)型教學(xué)。使學(xué)生以意義為中心,盡力調(diào)動(dòng)語(yǔ)言和非語(yǔ)言資源;

        2. 開(kāi)展自主性學(xué)習(xí)的小組活動(dòng),使合作、探究與獨(dú)立思考相結(jié)合。

        六、 教學(xué)手段:

        主要以多媒體課件輔助教學(xué),貫穿整個(gè)教學(xué)過(guò)程,增加了直觀性,加大了課堂密度,提高教學(xué)效果。另外以導(dǎo)學(xué)案輔助學(xué)生的自主學(xué)習(xí)。

        七、 教學(xué)過(guò)程:

        Ⅰ導(dǎo)入新課:

        通過(guò)一段有趣的動(dòng)畫(huà)視頻(選自《冰河世紀(jì)》)引出本課的話題:南極(The Deep South),并讓學(xué)生復(fù)習(xí)相關(guān)詞匯。

        (設(shè)計(jì)意圖:以多媒體方式導(dǎo)入新課,形象直觀,引起學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的興趣。無(wú)須特別活動(dòng)即可復(fù)習(xí)相關(guān)的詞匯與話題。)

        學(xué)生通過(guò)之前的預(yù)習(xí),能夠說(shuō)出本篇閱讀材料的題目“How Failure became Success”(如何反敗為勝)的意思及內(nèi)涵。
