一般現(xiàn)在時的用法
1) 經常性或習慣性的動作，常與表示頻度的時間狀語連用。
時間狀語： every…, sometimes, at…, on Sunday
I leave home for school at 7 every morning.
2) 客觀真理，客觀存在，科學事實。
The earth moves around the sun.
Shanghai lies in the east of China.
3) 表示格言或警句中。
Pride goes before a fall. 驕者必敗。
注意：此用法如果出現(xiàn)在賓語從句中，即使主句是過去時，從句謂語也要用一般現(xiàn)在時。
例：Columbus proved that the earth is round.
4) 現(xiàn)在時刻的狀態(tài)、能力、性格、個性。
I don't want so much.
Ann Wang writes good English but does not speak well.
比較：Now I put the sugar in the cup.
I am doing my homework now.
第一句用一般現(xiàn)在時，用于操作演示或指導說明的示范性動作，表示言行的瞬間動作。再如：Now watch me, I switch on the current and stand back. 第二句中的now是進行時的標志，表示正在進行的動作的客觀狀況，所以后句用一般現(xiàn)在時。
一般現(xiàn)在時表示將來
用現(xiàn)在時態(tài)表示將來的用法在現(xiàn)今英語口語中頗為盛行�，F(xiàn)將其用法歸納如下：
（1）它表示一個按規(guī)定、計劃或安排要發(fā)生的情況。常常要加一個表示未來時間的狀語。
When does the winter holiday begin？寒假什么時候開始？
What time does the train leave for Shanghai？開往上海的列車什么時候開車？
He sets sail tomorrow for New York，and comes back next month．他明天啟航到紐約去，下個月回來。
Is there a film tonight？今晚有電影嗎？
Tomorrow is Saturday．明天星期六。
School begins the day after tomorrow．后天開學。
但這種用法只限于少數(shù)動詞，如：begin， come，go，leave，sail，start，arrive，return，end，stop，depart，open，close， take，set，be等。
（2）在時間或條件狀語從句中，一般現(xiàn)在時也可用來表示將來的動作。
We can get there on time if we hurry up．要是趕快一些我們可以準時到達那里。
一般現(xiàn)在時的構成：
（1）肯定句：主語+謂語動詞+其他。（注意：當主語為第三人稱單數(shù)的時候謂語動詞后要加s或es。）
e.g. I read English every morning. 我每天早上讀英語。
Mr. Jack reads newspaper after supper every day.
（2）否定句：主語+ don’t（doesn’t ） +動詞原形+其他。
e.g. I don't go to school on Sunday. 我星期天不上學。
He doesn't read English in the morning. 他早上不讀英語。

e.g. - Do you like English? 你喜歡英語嗎?
-Yes, I do. 是的，我喜歡。
