1. argue vi.&vt. 意為“爭(zhēng)論；辯論”。作不及物動(dòng)詞時(shí)，常用于argue about sth.with sb.,同某人爭(zhēng)論某事。
It is no use arguing about the result of the experiment with her.
同她爭(zhēng)論實(shí)驗(yàn)結(jié)果沒有用。
2. hunt for 意為“搜索；追尋；尋找”，后接名詞、代詞或V-ing形式作賓語。
The scientists are trying to hunt for a new way to control bird flu.
科學(xué)家們正在設(shè)法尋找一種新的辦法來控制禽流感。
3. care about 意為“擔(dān)心；關(guān)心”。后接名詞、代詞或V-ing形式作賓語。
In our class we care about/ for each other.

4. be into 通常用于口語，意為“對(duì)……深感興趣；深深迷上……”，這里into是介詞，其后接名詞、代詞或V-ing形式作賓語。

5. as much/many as ...意為“和……一樣多”。
The young man has spent as much as he earned this month.

6. make/be friends with sb. 意為“和某人交上/成為朋友”。

7. treat...as...意為“把……視為（看作）……”與regard / think of / consider...as...意思相同。
Don’t treat me as a child. I’m sixteen, after all.

9. when(suddenly)...意為“正在……這時(shí)（突然）……”，其后接一個(gè)狀語從句。

10. drop sb. a line=write sb.a short letter 意為“給某人寫封短信”。
