        第十八單元

        一. 教學(xué)目的:語音, 詞匯及基本的日常交際用語, 和人稱代詞的用法.

        二. 教學(xué)重點(diǎn):常用詞組和人稱代詞的基本用法

        三. 重點(diǎn)難點(diǎn)講解:

        1. look after 照看, 照管

        look after被用來表示對(duì)某人或某物的精心照料或照看, 有責(zé)任或義務(wù)使其不受傷害或損害. 例如:

        I must look after my old grandma.

        我必須照顧我的老奶奶.

        2. other和the other

        other指除已有的以外, 其他的不具體的人或事物. 例如:

        What other things can you see?

        你還看到了別的什么東西?

        the other可修飾單數(shù)名詞, 也可以修飾復(fù)數(shù)名詞. 修飾單數(shù)時(shí)指兩個(gè)具體的人或事物中的另一個(gè), 修飾復(fù)數(shù)時(shí)指具體的一群人或事物中的所有其余的. 定冠詞the具有特指意義, 不能省去. 如:

        Is this your football sock? Where's the other one?

        這是你的足球襪嗎?另一只在哪兒呢?

        Some students are in the classroom. Where are the other students?

        一些學(xué)生在教室里, 其他的學(xué)生在哪兒呢?

        l 在上下文很明確的時(shí)候, the other后面的名詞可省去, 復(fù)數(shù)可用the others. 如:

        I can answer this question but I can’t answer the others.

        這個(gè)問題我能回答, 但其他問題我回答不了.

        3. put away 把…收起來, 把…放好

        可以說put sth. away 或put away sth. , 但如果賓語是代詞的話, 則須說put it/ them away. 如:

        Please put away your other books.

        請(qǐng)把你的其它的書放起來.

        4. in the tree 和on the tree

        當(dāng)表示樹上有不屬于樹木本身的人或事物, 我們用in the tree, 當(dāng)表示樹上長(zhǎng)的葉子, 花朵, 果實(shí)時(shí), 我們用on the tree. 例如:

        (1)Can you see Tom in the tree?

        你能看見樹上的Tom嗎?

        (2)There are many apples on the tree.

        樹上有很多蘋果.

        5. I (don’t) think so. 我認(rèn)為(不)是這樣的.

        這是一句常用口語, 當(dāng)對(duì)方提出一個(gè)觀點(diǎn)或問題, 你認(rèn)為是對(duì)的, 可說I think so. 如果不同意對(duì)方的說法, 可說I don’t think so. 例如:

        “ Is this book Mary’s ?” “ I think so.”

        “ 這本書是Mary的嗎?” “我想是的.”

        6. get down (從高處)下來

        如果要表示從某一高處下來, 則在get down后面接from介詞短語. 如:

        I don’t think the little boy can get down from the table himself.

        我想那小男孩不能自己從桌子上下來.

        7. What’s wrong? 怎么啦?

        當(dāng)我們?cè)儐枌?duì)方某人或某物出了什么問題時(shí), 常說 “What’s wrong?” 例如:

        “Can you help me?” “Certainly, what’s wrong?”

        “你能幫我嗎?” “當(dāng)然, 怎么啦?”

        *What’s wrong的后面可以接with介詞短語,典具體詢問某人或某物出了什么問題, 如:

        What’s wrong with his pen?

        他的鋼筆怎么啦?

        8. Don’t worry. 別著急.

        我們勸對(duì)方別為某人或某物擔(dān)憂時(shí), 常說此句. 可以在worry后面接about介詞短語, 表示為某人或某物擔(dān)憂. 如:

        Don’t worry about me.

        別為我擔(dān)憂.

        9. give的基本用法

        give表示 “給”, 當(dāng)我們說把某物給某人的時(shí)候, 說give sth. to sb. 或give sb. sth. 但如果所給的東西用代詞來表示時(shí), 就只能說give it/them to sb. 例如:

        Please give the ball to Tom. = Please give Tom the ball.

        請(qǐng)把這只球給Tom.

        Please give it to her. (不能說…give him it.)

        請(qǐng)把它給她.

        10. Thank goodness! 感謝上帝!

        這是個(gè)感嘆句, 主要用來一件困難的事情終于結(jié)束或完成時(shí), 表示一種緊張后輕松的心情. 例如:

        My brother is all right now. Thank goodness.

        我弟弟現(xiàn)在康復(fù)了, 真是謝天謝地!

        11. 不發(fā)音字母kn, wr

        本單元的語音中提到兩組不發(fā)音字母, kn組合中k 不發(fā)音; wr組合中w 不發(fā)音, 請(qǐng)同學(xué)們注意掌握.

        l 提醒: knife 這個(gè)詞復(fù)數(shù)形式很特殊, 要變?yōu)閗nives.

        12. 人稱代詞小結(jié).

        本單元中還進(jìn)行了人稱代詞的小結(jié), 要求掌握.
