Everybody is good! Have you read the book gone with the wind? This book is written by Mitchell, a famous American writer. Oh, doesnt it seem to be all right? Then, lets take a look at my reading. I think the subject of this book has written about some of the places in Atlanta and the suburbs. There are some specific things about the heroine scarlett, and there are many characters in the book.
There is also the history of the American civil war, which can be said for a hundred years. And the very image of the southern society. It USES a lot of techniques, so people cant get tired of it. The owner of "gone with the wind" is colorful, good and bad. I loved the book, and scarlett, though beautiful, had her own dryness. ASHLEY (the hero) was handsome, but he was also upset. This book is very good!
I heard that the book was published less than 24 hours, and the phone rang every three minutes. The doorbell rang every five minutes, and a telegram was received every seven minutes. In the first three weeks after the book was published, 176,000 copies were sold! Okay, so thats how I read it. Okay?
Yesterday, I finished calligraphy and went to the bookstore with my mother to buy some books. When I came to the bookstore, I saw the world classic, gone with the wind. Open it and find it interesting and buy it.
When I got home, I couldnt wait to start looking. "Gone with the wind" is about her life. She is unyielding and unyielding in the face of the flames of war. In the face of the death of her loved ones, she dried her tears and tried to cheer up. In the face of the lovers departure, she is undaunted, to start again.
She had been through many trials and tribulations, and she had always loved her, but she could only marry her cousin, Melanie, for the fame of her family. Scarlett was forced by her life to marry three men she did not love.
Some of them died of illness, some of them resolutely left her. Scarlett had three children, but she still managed to feed them.
Scarlett, who had married three men to feed her children, had endured a lot of pain, and her hands had gone from soft, white, delicate hands to calloused hands.
I admire scarlett very much, she is undaunted, unyielding, too great!
After the fall of Atlanta, her strength was admirable, and she bore the burden of the ordinary. But her unfoldable means also became legitimate, of course, which was supposed to be a predatory society.
She used her sisters happiness for her save peoples lives, and in order to expel the poverty, hunger of terror, she is not fold means, with white men and negroes in free trade, partition, she grew up, common experience of war compatriots, became a traitor. But she never cared what others said, she was loyal to herself, she knew what she was going for, she had to lose, and she could afford it. In the second marriage she had a daughter who was not very fond of her, and poor old women had to suffer.
I dont know why she will agree to marry rhett, just because that a crazy kiss, or withhold the lure of money, he is only in front of rhett, she can say the truth, can feel a pair of wide arms, I cant stand in the Angle of the know the result thought of her at that time why promised to get married, I hope even when her heart because they have planted a tree full of love and is aware of her own seed.
I felt that I was deeply fascinated by it soon after I had read it.
I first read it in a summer. I did not finish it at a single sitting. However, the moment I finished it, near midnight in a sweltering August day, with my body poured with sweat, held my breath to turn the last page over, shut the book and heaved a sigh of relief, I just could not express how I felt. All were over: trouble was over; lives were over; hopes were over. I was shocked how such a small book could contain such a complicated story. Never were wars, diseases and starvation ever nakedly exposed to me like this. The turns in plots were surprising but natural.
It was a tragedy: Just as its name suggested, everything was gone with the wind, including families’ touch, friends’ support, sweethearts’ gaze and youth with vigour. The story reminds us of valuing all we were possessing. A life lasts for a short time and anything in it lasts shorter. We always lose something unconsciously and then feel regretful when we need them later.
Characters in the story were so vivid as if they had been going to jump out of the story, as if they had been existed in the real life at first.
“Land is the only thing in the world that amounts to anything, for ‘this the only thing in this world that lasts, and don’t you be forgetting it’ this the only thing worth working for, worth fighting for——worth dying for.” Said Gerald, an Irish man who loved his soil more than his own life, let us know that life can be born out of land.
“But Scarlett, did it ever occur to you that even the most deathless love could wear out? Mine wore out, against Ashley Wilkes and your insane obstinacy that makes you hold on like a bulldog to anything you think about.”
“Scarlett, I was never one to patient pick up broken fragment glue them together and tell myself that the mended whole was as good as new. What is broken is broken——and I’d rather remember it as it was at its best than mend it and see the broken places as long as I lived.” Said Rett Butler, a man who love Scalett as much as a man can love a woman. Loving her for years before he finally got her, he loved her crazily but did not let her know it for fear of being hurt. But at last he still could not escape from hurts. “My dear, I don’t give a damn.” Look, he did not care about it at all. He was a man who disguised himself so much.
“I mustn’t bawl; I mustn’t beg. I mustn’t do anything risk his contempt. He must respect me even——even if he doesn’t love me.”
“I’ll think of it all tomorrow, at Tara. I can stand it then. Tomorrow, I’ll think some way to get him back. After all, tomorrow is another day.”
Said Scalett O’hara, the most wonderful woman I’ve ever seen. She was hard and greedy and unscrupulous, a brave, frightened, bull-headed child. Though she only thought about how to attract man’s attention and did not do anything useful before the war, she did surprise me when I read about her doings after the war. At that time, her Tara was just reduced to ashes. Everyone sketched out their hands and asked her for food. She bravely faced the reality and rebuilt Tara with her own hands. What a tough woman, I thought. Though those she loved were all gone, she was still full of hope. When Rett didn’t love her anymore and wanted to leave her, she said “I mustn’t bawl… even if he doesn’t love me.” A woman’s dignity could be seen from what she have said and done. That’s why I appreciate her.
This novel gave me too much to think about and I can not fully express myself in English. It is true that reading an origin is more vivid than the translated ones. However, my English level limits me to understand the origin well without the translated. But I will work hard in order to understand better.
The novel is my treasure, forever, because I find myself in Scarlett and find the world I live in inside the story.
That’s really an excellent novel, with an ending from which you can see hope rising from despair.
Perhaps it is because of the truth of the novel that I would like to enjoy the courage, sense of responsibility and fearless spirit of scarlett. Like the Christian worship of Jesus, the adoration of rhetts love for scarlett was so tolerable that it could contain her all.
The most profound memory of love is that scarlett, after talking to rhett, murmured that if I knew ASHLEY, I would never fall in love with him. If I knew rhett, I wouldnt have made him want to leave. This sentence is right, as we ourselves, no matter how clear the bystanders, we cannot always know the truth, after all, it is emotional.
What I like most about life is the end of the novel, scarletts inner workings: tomorrow, I will find a way to keep him, and tomorrow will be another day. It may be said that this is a cowardice of reality, but I think it is an optimistic attitude.
One of my friends had recommended the book Gone with the Wind almost two years’ ago, but my reading plan was just put off, for the book is really too thick and I even no courage to start. However, this semester I made my mind to read and I found myself was totally lost in the absorbing plots and the attractive characters the author portrayed. I was impressed by the war, the love and the hero Scarlett O’Hara, who would also be a charming and successful woman in today’s modern society, I think.
Scarlett is a dark-haired, green-eyed Georgia belle who struggles through the hardship of the Civil War and Reconstruction. She exhibits more of her father’s hard-headedness than her mother’s refined southern manners. Determination defines Scarlett and drives her to achieve everything she desires by any means necessary.
1. pursuing her love bravely
Scarlett aims to win Ashley Wilkes, and her failure to do so guides the plot of the novel. Ashley’s marriage to Melanie and rejection of Scarlett drive nearly all of Scarlett’s important subsequence decisions. Scarlett marries Charles Hamilton to hurt Ashley, stays by Melanie’s side through the war because she promise Ashley she will, and loses her true love, Rhett butler, because of her persistent desire to win Ashley. Without hesitation for pursuing her love, she is a little blind to love. However, her courage is inspiring. After all, love always makes people lose sense.
2. facing the war fearfully
On the night the Yankees capture Atlanta and set it afire, Scarlett drives the cart all night and day through a dangerous forest full of deserters and soldiers, at last reaching Tara. She arrives to find that her mother, Ellen, is dead; her father, Gerald, has lost his mind; and the Yankee army has looted the plantation, leaving no food or cotton. Scavenging for subsistence desperately, Scarlett vows never to go hungry again. Scarlett takes charge of rebuilding Tara. She murders a Yankee thief and puts out a fire set by a spiteful Yankee soldier. What a great girl she is! Instead of feeling afraid and waiting for others to help her, she bears the burden of rebuilding the Tara by herself. I admire her so much; for I have the same belief---- heaven helps those who help themselves!
3. gifted in business
When Scarlett takes advantage of Frank’s immobility, going to the store to see the account books, she quickly realizes that frank runs the business badly—his friends owe him vast sums of money that he is too embarrassed to collect. Scarlett thinks she could do a much better job in strictly male world of business and begins to think of acquiring a sawmill. Devoting all her time to the mill and turning a sizeable profit by any means necessary, she becomes the only successful businesswoman in Atlanta. In that age, it is really a big challenge for women and she has the confidence and courage to challenge it.
Scarlett’s development precisely mirrors the development of the American’s south. She changes from spoiled teenage to hard-working widow to wealthy opportunist, reflecting the south’s change from leisure society to besieged nation to compromised survivor. As selfish she is, her bravery and strong mind towards love and war really impress me a lot. When there is barrier, even disasters come, we can feel depressed or afraid, but never give up.
It is really a wonderful novel which worth being chewed!
Thats how its been recently. Look at it. The whole person enters into its plot, a person originally can infinite bravery, in order to survive can seek, however fear in the heart.
It seems to me that some of the withdrawal is so...
When its time to call it, call it out. Dont hide it. A man is stuck to some rules and looks pretentious.
In the turbulent times, so strong and brave heart.
If you have had all the good things in the past, when everything is turned into one, accept the fact. A man comes and goes every day, day and night, listless and listless. Youre just going to keep throwing you away. In order to get the care of life, change the heart to change the environment, from now on to continue to be like the carefree life to go to fight, slowly close to happiness.
Dont be afraid to take care of your surroundings when you need to take care of them. Everyone needs you, maybe you dont know anything, but calm down. Only if you are brave and strong, can you feel dependent.
Clinging to barefoot in the clear waters of the lake, the fullness of attachment, the pride of being held... When everything becomes a luxury, take the initiative to take it, and everyone else is looking at you and hoping to take comfort from you.
Sometimes I want a strong shoulder to help, but sometimes I have to face it.
The monotony is one thing to go to fight, looking at the improving day by day, everything in front of it is not very dim. Theres another scene.
Closing the book, looking at the ceiling, silence: it seems to evoke something in the heart, something about weakness, dependence, suffering...
"Gone with the wind" the beginning of time, always feel that the heroine scarlett no lofty character attracts me, I just think she is just a play, of shallow girls like parties, and with those around her admirers all day and she admired person.
When scarlett to ASHLEY suggested to elope with yourself after being rejected, wayward married his love Charles, unaware that the civil war but took her husbands life, since that scarlett became a widow with a child, the natural disposition is lively scarlett to say there is no doubt that was the result of unbearable. Scarlett became a mess in the home, because of the war ten mouth people not before the difficulties of life, when scarlett began to become strong, she hold up the heavy burden of home on our own strength, shows the females perseverance and courage.
In love, although scarlett went through many twists and turns, and for a long time not sure his true feelings, but finally find out his love is always in trouble for her courage, let her on the practicalities of rhett, two people finally achieved a good good marriage.
"Leave it to tomorrow... Anyway, tomorrow is another day... "This is scarletts famous sentence, with a good sense of optimism. When we are in a difficult situation, we can think of this sentence, it will give us strength!
Read again the American writer Mitchells "gone with the wind", of which the heroine is also one of my favorite characters, her beautiful, strong and optimistic, tenacious struggle for life, never give in. To the dedication of love, in his love, love and marriage can be separated, or the separation of spirit and body, put aside everything to love ASHLEY, fight for their own happiness, not to etiquette and morality on their own love, her love is always free.
In her love in the world there is nothing as of late, when she lose ASHLEY, thoroughly lost daughter, husband scottberrie has left her, she didnt feel true love is, so despite the psychic trauma and regret, believe that you will be able to save her husbands heart. I like her catchphrase: "whatever it is, tomorrow will be another day." Her heart has been shining in the chaos!
Mitchell, cut by its excellent artistic attainments, portrayed the protagonist and the characters in the book have obvious personality, several leading role in personality, morality and so on various aspects both comparative and intense, and interdependent, raises a series of conflicts, produced many bewildering suspense, make the story a ring clasp, ups and downs. In the time of reading the works, my temperament has also been accompanied by the plot, and I have seen a lot of tears. The works leave me with a powerful shock and a lifetime of touching.
"Gone with the wind" is a work that the American author Margaret Mitchell has devoted ten years to a profound thought and artistic value. Novel is set in the American civil war, the role of multiple personality is distinct, full of youthful vitality, can say good, good at communication, capricious, and even a bit selfish scarlett, clever humor, vision, and do not break romantic feelings of rhett, smooth integrity brave, loyal bold ASHLEY, good skillful mei laney, etc., each character left a deep impression to the person.
What impressed me most was scarlett, the main character of the novel, which had many advantages and disadvantages. Let me feel the deepest is encountered when her mother died, father mental disorders, such as home into a nearly despair, after a series of strikes as a pampered since childhood to the big miss, her heart is a powerful force, she said: "as god is my witness, I will not yield, I will get through this difficulty. Ill never be hungry again.
No, neither do my family. If I were to lie, to steal, to cheat, to kill, to testify, I would not go hungry." In the second half of the novel, in order to her family, sacrificing themselves, strong to shoulder the responsibility of maintaining the family, show the fortitude and courage of the female character, which makes me admire very much. No matter how hard the situation is, face it bravely and everything will pass. This is the most meaningful inspiration from scarlett in gone with the wind.
